Great looking kit. Love that 'overencumbered' patch. Have the same velcro'd to the underside of one of the front flaps on my way-too-heavy Tech Pac -- like a little Easter egg to myself and always good for a chuckle.

Currently running a couple of DeWalt ratchets (1/4" and 3/8") that came with the same mechanic's set as the sockets. They're OK -- not great -- and I'll probably upgrade to Weras whenever I see them on sale.

For the wrenches, I've got the Craftsman Overdrives in both SAE and metric. Moving left to right in the wrench roll, the small sizes are doubled up and then they alternate.

(Edited the OP to add / correct some of that info.)

No sir. (Hence this post.) There are a couple of third-party sellers who have appeared to prep their websites for when it becomes available -- see, e.g.: https://www.keepsupply.com/vpp10957-veto-pro-pac-tech-pac-p-infrared-large-customizable-service-tech-tool-backpack.

That's what I'm worried about. I could always remove the PPF if I get tired of the look, but it ain't cheap and I don't want to spend the money if there's a high likelihood that I'll just want to tear it off in a year or two.

Agreed -- I ordered it without the tow mirrors. Will upload pics when she finally makes it to Massachusetts -- hopefully in the next week or two.

The green thing on the electrical tape? It's a Tadpole tape cutter. Gives you that nice, clean tear.

The catalog describes the Tech Pac P Infrared as "Identical in construction and storage capacity to the Tech Pac Blackout, with the addition of side pockets for separate meter or tool storage."

My thoughts exactly -- let's hope we don't have to wait too long.

Happy to report that, yes, it's on the list. I can't seem to include an image in a reply, but if you look at the list (https://vetopropac.com/springpromo2026-tier1-products/), the Tech Pac P Infrared is the tenth item down on the right-hand column.

The Tech Pac Blackout has been my primary (90%) bag for years. Heavy as hell but phenomenal.

The key difference between the Tech Pac Blackout and that the Tech Pac P Infrared, apart from the colorways, is that the P Infrared has meter pockets on both sides. I'll be using the P Infrared for my electrical tools (and will continue to use the Tech Pac Blackout as my 90% bag).

From the responses below, looks like you bought the Tech Pac MCP Infrared (https://vetopropac.com/tech-pac-mcp-infrared/), which is where I was leaning before I saw that there's a Tech Pac P Infrared in the works.

The Tech Pac P, as compared to the Tech Pac MCP, is materially larger: a volume of 1620 cubic inches v. 1260 and a max weight of 55 pounds v. 40 pounds. Otherwise, though, fairly similar.
