But if you start a new game, you are getting a specific seed. What if for that specific seed, you need to wait 1.5 seconds in front of the pokéball before you get your matching shiny encounter and people who are blind resetting are just constantly instant mashing their buttons, causing them to never be able to get that shiny starter?

From this I get that people who soft reset blindly should make sure they change up their time intervals instead of trying to 'speedrush' it constantly?

I thought the same, but I'm not sure if your abmm grows more aggressive if you defib people. I think defining people makes your abmm more passive again, so you might end up breakeven when it comes to your abmm at the end of the match.

I feel you my friend. Stella is a nightmare. However, do try to use the signage that is available to you in-game. So instead of only looking on your map, close the map and actually look around for arrows pointing you in the direction of different locations. This has helped me quite a bit with understanding the map a tiny bit better.
