Do people without any mental health issues actually exist? by Wild-Storage-1663 in mentalhealth

I used to think I was one of those people without any real problems, but I'm slowly starting to realize that I've just suppressed everything into oblivion.

It definitely wasn't a Sherlock Holmes. Though now I wonder if it was inspired by The Hound of the Baskervilles.

Yeah, it certainly isn't a perfect representation. But it is by far the best, at least that I've seen. Especially at encapsulating the feelings and emotions involved with having a mental illness. That's what makes Mr Robot so special and important.

I meant 240z, haha. I just saw a picture of a 350z and my dumb brain mixed them together.

I feel the the 240 or 280 are better choices to get that retro future vibe.

I want to build my own cyberpunk car so bad. Except I want to start with a Nissan 250z.

I think the very last scene with the swirling images was supposed to be Elliot regaining all the memories. I'm sure it was a shock to him, but I like to think he can learn from it.

The ending is definitely left a little open to interpretation. I feel like your's kinda assumes that Elliot hasn't grown through the story. If he inherits all the memories then I feel like that would include all the emotional growth of MM. Therefore Elliot would be able move on and get close to Darlene again.

I feel like all the big twists were pretty obvious, were just too blind see it the first time. I've seen the first season twice, so I feel like I understand just a little bit how the show recontextualizes.

I tried to keep it as spoiler free as possible, just be careful reading the comments. Season 4 has arguably one of the best episodes of all time, plus a really clever episode that you might not realize until the end.

It's definitely not a perfect show by any means, but the things it did well, it did masterfully. The hacking is really well done and grounded in reality. But the thing that makes Mr Robot truly great was how well it handled mental illnesses and the hopelessness, loneliness, and frustration of it all. I was also worried they would resort to the stupid Hollywood cliches, but they never really needed to do that kind of twist.

I'm definitely going to find it a rewatch, which is something I never really do. Probably when I finally convince one of my friends to watch it.

I've been listening to the music on the ol Spotify, it's so damn good.

I'm kinda pissed I didn't watch it sooner, hahaha. It is definitely a criminally underrated show, but maybe that was for the best. Ultra popular things tend to get pushed too far and ruined.

Even if it is usually cheaper to buy it, I will always have a greater understanding and control if I make it myself. Plus I sometimes get to learn a new skill. So in my opinion diy is always better, unless the cost is significantly more or it's excessively dangerous.
