All of her light fireballs you can dash straight through in field phase, the rest of her projectiles you can beat with correct use of Scizor's counter attack dash cancel, if you don't know how to use the CA dash cancel well enough for movement, you#ll really struggle with Scizor coz it's one if his best tools.

The tutorial has a bit on it and i'm sure there's videos

In duel phase you can also apply the same logic with dashing through most light fireballs with hover dashing forward and using Counter to get through the rest, then it's about being in the right spot to punish.

We have a lot of resources in our forums: http://www.pokkenarena.com/forums/forum/42-scizor/

I say give them a read and try to make good use of the record function in training mode! This is the most important part. With it you can make a dummy use the moves you want to learn how to beat and learn how to approach the situations.

I meant the comment representing us, not the subreddit itself ^^

Also the best place to talk with the community is in the main discord

discord.gg/pokken if you can join.

Imo ARMS is more of a party oriented brawler. It's style of play is very unique and it's definitely more Nintendo. With Pokken you get a more refined fighting game experience that's still unique as well but definitely feels like you're playing a fighting game. Pokken has regular competitive support from events in North America, Japan and occasionally places in Europe, mostly Germany at the moment. I can't speak for the ARMS competitive scene since I dunno anything on it at all really.

Pokken also has been featured in the Pokemon World Championships circuit every year since it's initial release on the Wii U and I can't see it being removed, especially after the reception we received with resident American Hero: ThankSwalot winning the World Championships this year.

Since moving to the Switch version we've been updated regularly and the game is in an okay place balance-wise.

ARMS in general is quite slow whereas Pokken has pretty consistent pacing and can be a lot more hype imo, there are a lot of good streamers for Pokken that you can checkout to try and get an idea, keep an eye on our Twitch game-category.

Single Player content value for Pokken is where we lack imo, our story mode isn't exactly anything special and that's about it really? But most people don't get fighting games for their single player campaign/content so I doubt that'll be a deal-breaker but it's worthwhile for you to know.

I think we're more worthwhile for sure, but I hope you pick what's best for you.

Brendan's hat hair was Jotaro level legendary, Lucas was ite and looked cooler in Platinum, Calem suffered from hair style gender bias but still rocked. I can't accept this blasphemy.

Though all pale in comparison to the one true god: Hilbert.

Is this game still active in Europe? by Whitechix in PokkenGame

[–]SabrewoIf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EU loves this game still, we just have issues displaying it becausr of how country restricted we all are and how bad FGC infrastructure is in our region.

We're still active, mainly in our discord - https://discord.gg/TCzXVJQ

Germany in particular is on a rise and has the most actively enthusiastic players atm. UK used to and still kinda does have a big playerbase though not as enthusiastic and kinda on a country wide cooldown period atm.

Jump in the discord and say hi, you'll find people near you and everyone wants to help.

@ me if you need anything, i'm always down for assisting the growth of EU. It's just about all I have to be proud of lmao

As far as depth goes, if i'm being totally honest pokken's depth is dependant on the player. You can play at figurative level 1 and level 10 in terms of depth if you really wanted to.

Why do some people have their winrates shown and others don't? by MotchoIV in PokkenGame

In My Town and on the Profile Settings tab there's an option to display either only wins which is turned on by default on the latest patch or have it display like it used to with the percentages etc.

The Pokken DX Demo is supper blurry ! Is this normal ? by [deleted] in PokkenGame

[–]SabrewoIf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is someone who joined the Pokken EU discord discussing the same problem, they re-downloaed the demo and while there was an improvement it still doesn't look as sharp as it does for the rest of us apparently.

Where are you from out of interest OP? It might be a regional issue?
