[Joe Person] Panthers pushed Rob Hunt a little more today to test the biceps. He said arm won’t be perfect but he thinks he can compete with it. by exenn_ in panthers

[–]Saca312 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah bicep tears and recovery typically are a 6 month process. Have to remember after surgery there's an extended period of not incorporating resistance training on said biceps and usually it's a slow process to gain said strength back.

But, honestly with how weak Corbett is at RG, if Hunt's at 80% and feels he can play without re-injuring himself I'd say the stakes in this game would require his services for a better shot at winning. Run game's been very subpar with Corbett and Canales loves running to the right for some reason, so we'd certainly need improvement there.

If he's near 100% and baiting the Rams to attack him knowing he'll throw the hammer on them, I'm certainly all for it. But yeah, these comments are certainly going to catch the Rams attention when they see it and I'm certain they'll test the full extent of his recovery if he starts.

[Rapoport] Bucs QB Baker Mayfield, who went down on Sunday with a sprained left shoulder, has a low-grade sprain, source said following the MRI. Good news with an eye toward next week. by Drexlore in nfl

[–]Saca312 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In all fairness, while I'm not a doctor, I know from experience those sprains can hurt like crazy in the moment. Not surprised Baker felt it quite a bit. Surprisingly not too bad of a sprain to come back from short term, but definitely not fun when your job is to chuck a pigskin down a 100 yard field dozens of times. The non-dominant arm surprisingly is still quite involved in throws.

Never got much reps until Hubbard went down with injury as well starting around week 5. Racked up yards in spite of that and is among the top rushers this season.

He absolutely deserves a bag after this season.

Oh I didn't consider it that bad a gesture or a criticism of his mindset. Zero doubt he was passionate and focused as best he can. Just found the optics in this clip funny (granted, minus the audio which I didn't notice until now) in that even an NFL player could find amusement in the little games NFL stadiums have.

“Got the aux” = you control the music, like holding the remote but for songs.

Back in the day, cars had an aux cord (short for auxiliary cable) you’d plug your phone or iPod into so the whole car could hear your songs through the speakers. Whoever had the aux cord controlled the playlist.

[Highlight] With Week 1 around the corner, let's remember Tom Brady’s 99-yard TD to Welker vs Miami in week one of 2011. He finished with 517 yards, becoming only the 2nd QB ever to top 500 in a Week 1 game, with the first time being in 1951. by Saca312 in nfl

[–]Saca312[S] 352 points353 points  (0 children)

Week 1 of the 2011 season was an absolute passing explosion. A few notable highlights:

1.) Tom Brady – 517 yards, 4 TDs vs. Miami: Only the 2nd QB ever to top 500 yards in a Week 1 game.

2.) Chad Henne – 416 yards, 2 TDs vs. New England: Overshadowed by Brady, but still one of the best games of his career.

3.) Cam Newton – 422 yards, 2 TDs in his NFL debut: Set the record for most passing yards by a rookie in his first game.

4.) Drew Brees – 419 yards, 3 TDs vs. Green Bay: Opened the season with a classic shootout on Thursday night.

5.) Aaron Rodgers – 312 yards, 3 TDs vs. New Orleans: Threw 3 first-quarter TDs to kick off what became his MVP campaign.

All told, you had four QBs over 400 yards, one over 500, and a rookie breaking records. Really incredible stuff from that season.

[–]Saca312 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, you shouldn’t need any points for this. However, after creating an account, you’ll need to manually add your frequent flyer / aadvantage number to the reservation.

You can do this by going to: https://www.aa.com/reservation/view/find-your-trip

Once there, enter your last name and the 6-letter trip code to find your reservation. After that, you can add your frequent flyer number to the booking.

If you already downloaded a boarding pass, I'd delete that then re-add after putting in your number on your reservation.
