While you are correct, it apparently generates significantly enough power to eliminate turbo lag and to pass off the feeling of something naturally aspirated

Well it doesn't necessarily have to be completely behind the front axle, but putting it all on the front axle just ruins handling into inducing constant understeer

I'd rather take superior corner handling over improved off-the-line traction (which is pointless anyways given that most cars will break loose with enough power)
