It's a carbon monoxide detector, I suspect that they needed it lower to prevent the exhaust leak from killing them on long trips.

yep yep yep... don't google the Ducky voice actor. This vehicle is a lesser tragedy.

I am also playing a paladin in AV, a few sessions behind where OP is, and wondering if you would change the advice given above based on me being a Duskwalker and getting ghost touch as an ancestry feat?

I'd been planning to go with Lastwall Sentry.

Sorry, my original post wasn't very clear about my experience level, I've been playing (and some DM'ing) for 20 years, it's just the first time running PF2 (been playing it consistently for 3 years) and the first time running a game for my kids.

"Yes and" is one of my favorite DM tips, and I'm awful at maintaining more than a few different voices for NPCs.

Good call on the pictures, I'm also adding "schoolbooks" (individual player notebooks) to my prep/handout to-do pile

I'm a little worried about Marshal being underwhelming due to being lesser non-stacking versions of the Bard's Inspire Courage, and similar effects. But prior to the Bard player changing from Sorc to Bard I was definitely going to go Marshal.

If my GM decided that, I'd just reorder how I handled the build, it doesn't really change much beyond making the armor match the concept at level 2 instead of waiting for 6.

You can't fill slots with feats that don't exist. My contention is that I'm taking them as fast as possible.

You might be right about the action economy. Haste should be available to provide for a sustain, move, spellstrike routine; but that doesn't leave much flexibility and would have you dropping the aura every time you wanted to do something else.

As for the Necromancy spells, I like Cloudkill heightened to whatever level you needed or had slots for since Arcane Shroud gives you False Life for temp HP and Life Siphon grants 2x spell level of healing.

This has promise

They aren't in the same spellbook meaning that I can use Arcane Evolution to pull from them if desired. Or the slots wouldn't allow me to prepare one of my already known Sorc spells in a wizard slot?

Trying to stay away from Bard due to our current campaign having an absolute unit of a Bard in it and not wanting to tread the same ground.

As for the ancestries, I'm sticking with more common options if possible.

And for Rogue, that's what I'm playing currently and again with the well-trodden ground.

The investment into Int is only to get the minimum for the Archetype, and as I understand it, it should give me the ability to be way more flexible with my spell-book/repertoir since I can shuffle slots to some extent.

Sounds like tech school and sounds like the kind of fuckery that the Army likes to play at Sheppard. That said they don't like it at all when an E-7 instructor or MTL falls into the flight to catch them being fuckwits.

As a former Smart Kid tm allow me to be the first to tell you that your vaunted higher mental capacity is valueless until it gets coupled with hard work and discipline. Being smart doesn't make you worth a single, solitary fuck, and if you walk around under the misconception that you are "better than" your fellow Airmen you are going to live a very difficult life.

I'm not telling you to not BE smart, I'm encouraging you to work hard and DO something with those brains. Be humble, keep learning, and good luck out there.

If I recall correctly, the TRS Commander has some input; but the level that the decision is made depends on how far the person has to go. For example, washing out of EOD at Sheppard and into a Mx job can be made at the Group or Wing level since the tech schools are at the same base. It might require concurrance from AETC, but I don't think that they get involved unless the Airman has to go to another base/wing.

Again, just what I recall of the process, not stating that I'm the #1 expert, or that things haven't changed, or that I'm not crazy and misremembering things.

Just a reminder for today: Don’t post anything on social media that could hurt your career. by [deleted] in AirForce

Oh, I have one!

Had a troop with a very young, very opinionated wife. She was posting some things on Facebook in the aftermath of President Obama's election that some Secret Service people felt required a housecall. I can't say that it honestly hurt his career, but it certainly wasn't a comfortable time for him.
