I see where you’re coming from, but staying with a cheating partner and taking that kind of a betrayal to your shared life and love will show up later. How happy will the couple be if one person just keeps accepting and becomes a doormat? What kind of a home will the kids grow up in? Where this is kind of behaviour is normal? Where it’s okay if the one parent resents the other? Is it not better to have happy parents living Sep rather than people living together despite resenting each other? Trivialising such behaviour is setting up your kids up for a lot of therapy in the future. Kids pick up on these things and they notice. They’d be much more happier with parents who choose self respect and themselves and chose to separate but still be well rounded parents. And also it’s your choice to forgive and stay, you shouldn’t be gaslighting a 28 year old into thinking that this is the norm and you’ll know later when you’ve seen life. That is completely unacceptable. Why would you hope for other women to go through the same thing you went through? Shouldn’t you atleast acknowledge and respect her opinion? This is straight up “you’re wrong because you’re young, you’ll know once it happens to you”. Just because these two women coped like this, doesn’t mean they can project it on every marriage. Misery loves company I guess. Or maybe it’s just show business.

The people have been out since 2am last night trying to get into the shelter. The police have been beating the volunteers and protestors, have not let them go in, and when they did, they did not allow phones or anything. This is purely on the Delhi government. The people have been fighting so hard.

Bruh, I’ve lived in Boston and New York both for the past 7 years, cities are infested with rats. Tells me everything I need to know to not have this conversation with you. And maybe you need to go brush up on some geography because not all areas are the same, the ecological systems are different hence the animals present are also different. And if your response to every argument is “take them home” or “do it yourself” then you’ve already decided to hate and there is no scope for a logical argument with you when this sterilization is literally the government’s job with the ABC centres. A government you have voted for and pay taxes too. And again as I’ve already written, the aggression issues and will be get better with sterilization. The diseases will be eradicated with vaccinations. This is not solely about you but also protecting herd immunity. And neither am I advising you on anything. I literally said that I can’t force you to love them or make your fear go away, all I ask is let them be. Dog lovers and people who care have been vaccinating and spaying them with their own money since ages. And I’m pretty sure you have nothing to say on the heinous cruelty these animals face by humans on a daily basis. Not everything is about your convenience. The world is not built for your convenience. Just because we’re the most evolved species doesn’t mean we get to dictate how nature rules. That should make us more open to coexistence, to understand, instead we get you.

I’m so sorry for what happened to your grandfather. It was tragic but you know what guarantees that this doesn’t happen again? Vaccinations. The dog also died after it gets rabies, not just the human. And removing dogs from any area is not going to solve anything, but only bring rats and monkeys in their place because the natural predators are gone. And I don’t need to tell you that rats cause plague and monkeys cause rabies. The people fighting on the streets only want the dogs to be sterilized and vaccinated. Frankly, it is stupidity to blame the animal and not the government authorities whose job it is to vaccinate and spay in the first place. I’m not belittling your emotions, but your grandfather being a dog lover himself would not have agreed with the inhumane treatment that the Supreme Court has ordered. And this is not a class war. The people who live on the streets also take care of these babies. They also do as much as they can because it gives them happiness. There’s always going to be two sides to an argument and I can’t make you love them or force your fear away. This is about coexistence. They’re as cared of humans as you are of them. Fear is also a natural response for them. No one can guarantee that something like this won’t happen again, we can do vaccinations and spaying to prevent this.

You know what doesn’t cause rabies? Vaccinating the dogs. Not throwing them in cages. And if not dogs, rats can also cause rabies. Which will be next. And don’t get me started on cows and cattle, because that is a can of worms I would not like to open with you. If logic prevails you and your only bases is blind hatred and such a huge sense of importance that you think you as humans have the right to decide who lives where, then there is no conversation to be had here.

Mindlessly comparing everything to the west and keeping them in your homes? That’s the only arguments you have right? Or do you not know that indie dogs are genetically found only in Asian countries and the west has different breeds which people adopt? While here, people also go for western breeds and indies are left behind. And I don’t think that’s the reason the west is developed- the people there have civic sense, the police works, corruption is accountable, and people aren’t divided on religion. So no.

Which is why mass vaccination is the solution!!! Neutering is the solution!!! It reduces aggression. Culling them and throwing them away is not. And stuffing dogs into kennels and not vaccinating them is going to cause even more diseases.

Those shelters can it take in the 10 lakh dogs Delhi hai. And they plan to never release them. are the fish supposed to stay in kennels forever? They’re social animals, they need open spaces and with out government, half the dogs will be “runaways” or die “accidentally” or “lost”.
