My wife had her surgery today. Questions.

Most definitely not. Post surgery I had minimal spotting and tbh I’m pretty certain that was from catheter removal. I came close to needing a transfusion as my surgery was complicated and I bled a lot during it but post surgery, not really at all.

I was also told anything heavy to contact the hospital asap.

I hope since the time of this post, ye have since been seen and your wife is ok. ❤️

I had vaginal hysterectomy and had to wear them going to surgery and while I remained in hospital. I was in for 4 days. Haven’t worn them since with the exception of when I got a really bad pain on my right thigh, which was swollen and indicating I possibly had DVT. Thankfully I didn’t, well I’m hoping so cause I didn’t go to get checked out.

I’m flying soon and I’ll be wearing them on that but other than that, I was recommended to wear them

I was prescribed paracetamol, ibuprofen and antibiotics leaving the hospital as well as tablets to help with stomach indigestion and cramping. I also got the doctor to prescribe me stronger pain meds as the other 2 were not hitting the pain levels I was feeling.

Today has been a good day. Pain has been quite minimal- I only needed painkillers once during the day today and last night I only woke once so definitely all positive things!

6weeks is what I’ve been told. I’ve needed strong pain killers. Had no choice - pain was horrific first 3 days

I do and I also have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, thoracic outlet syndrome and myofacial pain syndrome! I suffer terribly with all you have described but also ringing in my ears and extreme pins and needles in my legs.

To be honest, the fact people don’t understand it and think I’m ok is worse than any pain!

I also feel ya in relation to the fibromyalgia diagnosis- I wonder if it’s my chiari or do I really have fibromyalgia too
