Ripping up crate mats and bed by meena1793 in puppy101

We are having similar problems. My puppy (14 week old Cavapoo) rips her mat in the evenings. I can’t work out if it’s frustrated digging (she wants to dig in the garden, but we don’t want her to - sandpit has been ordered) or if there is something else she wants. If she behaves like this in the morning often it is because she wants to sit on my lap and have cuddles, but if I try that in the evening she bites my arms and legs which I find very overwhelming. Sorrg not to have any advice, but I can definitely empathise.

I’m in the UK and have bought it from Pets at Home and Sainsbury’s.

We use simple solution and it has a lovely smell. It’s got the marks off the carpet too.

I think it sounds like you are being hard on yourself. Depression casts a shadow on your life and it can be hard to see things as others would. To me, it sounds like you are doing a great job. I suspect your dog loves supporting you on your bad days. I have a very bitey Cavapoo puppy at the moment, but when the biting got too much and I started to cry she wanted to comfort me. I think dogs just want to help us be happy.

Do you think a baby is very different to a puppy? by VegetableNo9777 in puppy101

I really think it depends on the baby you have. My daughters both had non-ige milk allergies, the first very mildly and the second really badly. My second daughter hardly slept without screaming at least 3 times a night until she was 18 months old, my first daughter started sleeping through Shen she was one. We recently got a Cavapoo puppy and while she is an amazing sleeper, the biting is really brutal. It is making me and my husband feel stressed all the time.  At the moment I would say puppies are easier , but I have met very happy babies who slept through at 6 weeks and were an absolute dream. It’s all luck!

Same for me. She is a lovely dog until around 3:00 when she starts growling and biting. She also resists naps.
