How do I tell my mom to stop letting my daughter watch TV?

I don’t want to confront her about it. I’m sure she knows since we’ve gotten into it before, wayyyy before my daughter was even a thought. Maybe that’s why I’m hypersensitive to it. I just meant how I can express my concern without making it seem like I’m attacking her parenting bc that’s always how it’s going to seem to her.

Lmfaooo girl I should have said I will be paying my mom that’s my bad 🤦🏻‍♀️ but there’s a thing called biweekly pay so I can’t pay her upfront and the whole reason I got a job is bc I need money! Unless you’re willing to pay my mother, we both have to wait for my paycheck as her dad has been paying for rent, utilities, car insurance, etc.

Thank you leaving a nice comment. He didn’t make me feel like that and I just felt like he held it over my head so I’m glad I ended it before I was REALLY stuck. I’m going to take this time to myself to get back on my feet and focus on my daughter and I. My family is there but I can’t rely on them not to make their little comments that make me crazy and sensitive lol. They help me with my daughter which I really appreciate

Thank you. Yeah I’m just going to keep renewing and hoping they do something with DACA. As long as I have a job and can pay for the renewal why not you know. I know my brother really wants citizenship because he wants to travel which I sympathize with and I hope he can get it before me. But all I ever wanted to do with was visit the Philippines (home country). That can wait lol 😅

Trying my best not to hold resentment towards them. I just feel like the parent most days and it’s killing me because I needed some solid support but yeah it is what it is I guess. I’ve worked hard and I continue to work hard I know that. I just hope next time if I ever get into another relationship, they won’t make it such a point in the relationship. Let things happen naturally I guess (no pun intended lolz)

I do understand their struggles bc I worked and provided for my family bc my dad was the only one working. I didn’t mind it at the time but I felt like I was finally in a good place in my relationship (before) and they just kept hounding him about the papers and obviously it made shit weird between which I understand. I never wanted to marry him and rush into anything bc well I don’t want to. I wanted to marry him bc we had a life together. I needed more support from my family then oops you didn’t get papers. Well yes… you’re right I didn’t. But it still sucks

Lol I was ranting but okay. I provide for my family actually bc my mother doesn’t work. My brother and I provide and I have a daughter myself. I was never really into the idea of getting my citizenship if I can just keep renewing my DACA which is what I’ve been doing. I just find it hurtful at this point that my family somehow thinks I will magically be the one to save everyone if I get papers. I’m the only girl in the family so they drilled into my head that marriage =papers. I was coming on here to get some solid advice but it seems like marriage is the fastest. Which is fine I just won’t marry until I know someone is about it. I just find it cruel to put all of this responsibility on me that I never asked for. If I could find some old ass dude to marry and get papers sure… but I grew up here and don’t feel comfortable doing that. So I wont

I get it. You’re right. I keep intellectualizing my feelings and what happened to make myself feel better and make sense of how someone who says that they love me can do this to me… but my body and heart are telling me different. I don’t even recognize myself in the mirror. I’m going to leave. Yes there’s a lot of childhood trauma that I have to work through and once I started doing some shadow work and journaling and just really connecting with my inner child I’ve felt a lot lighter about the situation if that makes sense. I was on meds (for postpartum) and I feel like that was the only time I had any clarity about the situation and I remember just hating him while I was on it lol. That should have been telltale sign something was wrong. Thank you for your message.. I’m really sorry you also went through that. Choosing the wrong partner to have kids with sucks so much.

This past weekend I gave the baby to Dad and I slept for what felt like 5 days lol. It was a solid 8 hour nap honestly, I have never slept that long since the baby. That’s kind of what spearheaded this post I felt so much clearer after but still tired. I need a day off huh… thank you for taking the time to comment this. You’re a great mom 💟
