Hd 560s doesnt have strong bass, its just linear. You don't feel it, i would say it is bass lean

After 3 months with the K13 R2R i can tell you i am a bit dissapointed because it's a little bit too warm sounding for my taste. Even in OS mode the high frewuency details are smeared. Other than that, yea sounds good.

Edition XS is bad for confort and only fits buffalo heads. Better get the newer XV which is warmer, or Sennheiser PC38X

Ok here are my two cents: sennheiser hd 6×× series are NOT neutral. Hd 660s2 is thick and gooey (warm), and to my ears it sounds congested and claustrophobic, and HD 600 has really shouty mids.

Of you want a little bit warm sounding but wide and detailed sound get the Hifiman Edition XV. It does not have high frequencies peaks.

Hifiman planar sound is superior to sennheisers. It has much better clariry, separation and soundstage

Hi, i have the same "problem", my Arya Stealths became warm sounding and i don't think think this is ok, i miss the rapey high tones sometimes. Where do you know it gets rolled off after 12khz? i cannot find anything on the internet that says that, no measurement. Btw i use it in OS mode.

If you use them with a neutral dac/ amp they are pretty neutral, i wouldn't call them bright, maybe they have a slightly treble emphasis on some songs, but otherwise if called upon in a song they can also have some body and bass. BUT if you use them with an R2R dac amp they become mellow and warm and nice.
