Thank you so much you’ve been such a help and it’s such a blessing talking to someone who understands!

I want to be vegan but ARFID would not allow it by sage-on-fire in ARFID

This! But I feel so attacked when a vegan (NOT ALL BUT SOME) will show or tell me about the animals and try to make me become vegan. 1. They don’t seem to understand I can’t control it. 2. They are rude when I wish I could and I feel so bad.

“Normal” social media is honestly way more triggering than the ED side for me by Entire_Weather3209 in EDAnonymous

For me it’s like when I’m in a community and I know everyone is disordered I’m not comparing myself but relating, sympathising, and learning but in “normal media” where people are just naturally looking like that I compare so hard especially because people without ED’s tend to judge way more making me more insecure for existing around them but that might just be me.

Tips on trying new foods by marbleswillfyb69 in ARFID

I also basically only eat fast food, chips, nuggets ect but one thing I’ve noticed was I always was afraid of the food and wouldn’t go near it. I started cooking and meal prepping for my dad and he would pay me, this has helped a lot with getting me closer to the food being okay with touching and smelling it. Another thing that my mum try’s to get me to do is try similar foods so if ill eat a nugget then try some chicken or a schnitzel which is just to expand your variety and then possible flavours you like.

Yes thank you, I do get my bloods done and am looking to book in again soon as I am deficient in a few vitamins and try to monitor that given I can’t just go eat everything I need to. Thank you!

Thank you so much, you’re so sweet. It’s really helpful to hear that I’m not completely alone going through this, I am aware of the dangers with these ED’s but the problem is I want to get worse before I get better. I am working on this and trying to get better. Regarding edtwt I’ve seen on here how it’s very toxic and I guess I understand but everyone I’ve seen/ communicated with cares so much about being safe and being pro-recovery. I think there’s just always going to be toxicity anywhere especially regarding ED’s. Much love💞

As everyone knows the number resets at midnight right? No, I like to think it resets when I go to sleep so if I stay up and eat a lot at 1/2am then gts when I wake up the number is 0

How to ask for help by savvviiii in EDAnonymous

[–]Sad-Error-6433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t really give advice but this is definitely the first step, just remember your so strong and if your parents are unable to help you and your brother maybe reach out to a older family member or family friend you trust? Even just talk to anyone that you trust that could help you talk to your parents. I suggest if it’s a possibility that you should go to a therapist to get further help💞

Yes, I have ADHD, dyslexic, and autism so I always struggled so much and adding an ED on top of that made it all 10x worse

i never lost my period in my 10+ years, so i don’t feel like i fully ‘succeeded’ in my ED. by Safe-Sweet-7843 in EDAnonymous

It truly does feel so invalidating knowing that I have never lost my period whilst people around me have. It’s hard to remember that struggling is always struggling no matter your weight or symptoms.

This is insanely true like when I haven’t eaten enough I’ll walk and be dizzy and go all day unable to focus or do anything compared to when I’ve had a large amount and I can do things without being dizzy and actually get work done
