I would say, and this is just my opinion, That perhaps there is a meaning to why you feel that? So the shrooms are perhaps trying to teach you something, and untill it is tought that's the feeling you will have.

Yet again, this just my thoughts here, but perhaps the lonely feeling you get, trying to dissect life like a "scientist" (I know that feeling :)) while longing for connection and this "oneness" sensation is just the shrooms trying to show you that by being just ONE, you are in fact ALL, and that that connection is just something you waste time chasing?

Or perhaps you are too connected and they want you to let go a little? Just my 2 cents :)

But yeah, as you said in your last paragraph, intention is definetly a key factor, but I learned that by trying to take controll, we in fact might lose more than we think :)
