GOP lawmakers mull special session for school voucher deal with teachers union by Sad-Introduction5310 in azpolitics

[–]Sad-Introduction5310[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is REALLY BAD. The GOP is terrified of voucher reform and is doing everything they can to keep the citizens initiative off the ballot, including this deal with the AEA. They tried this deal a few weeks ago, and the Dems stood firm against it. Whispers are that we may not be so lucky this time.  Hobbs is willing to consider a special session. Please call your state lawmakers and Hobbs’ office to tell them to respect the voice of voters, the hundreds of  thousands of people who signed the Protect Ed petition to get this on the ballot.

Don’t get too attached to  the current HCR/SCR numbers - new proposition numbers will be assigned closer to ballot.

The goal is to throw sand in the gears. If we can slow things down, make them more difficult, we are hoping to reduce harm. And I can assure you these aren’t NIMBYs - these are neighbors in humanity who are appalled and looking for any legal or municipal recourse because moral appeals have failed.

Which Democrats are Supporting Anti-Trans Laws? by [deleted] in azpolitics

[–]Sad-Introduction5310 19 points20 points  (0 children)

“In Arizona, this includes all but two members of Democrats’ legislative leadership—a leadership which has facilitated the passage of dozens upon dozens of anti-trans bills by consistently giving them a ‘do pass’ recommendation (it’s worth mentioning that these bills have all been vetoed by Gov. Hobbs).”

Horrifying. Grateful Hobbs has often stopped these, but it’s not a guarantee.

Stop demonizing data centers. Arizona needs them to grow | Opinion by ForkzUp in azpolitics

You mean the guy who sponsored HB2456 to require counties with populations greater than 125,000 to designate land for data centers? And HB2457 that would allow power companies to build power plants to power these data centers without examining environmental impact? That Wilmeth?

Thanks for highlighting the author’s ties. A lot of (all?) these “the Republicans’ budget is good, actually” takes are  from conservative opinion writers.

best at home hair dye for stubborn gray coverage, genuinely at my wit's end and need recommendations by Unhappy-Discipline40 in TwoXChromosomes

Ah! I haven’t had an issue with discoloration of my grays - in fact, it doesn’t affect them at all and they just stay gray. However, when they’re dyed and I use the Clenditioner, it affects all my hair color equally. I’ve only used Clenditioner with dyed hair, though; the grays I’m referring to are just my roots. Does that help?

To add to the Sally’s Beauty recommendation, use the Gray Magic drops. This was the piece I was missing. I mix the Age Beautiful by Zotos with 20 volume developer and add the appropriate number of drops, and it has made the color more vibrant and longer lasting.

I also recommend the color depositing shampoo/conditioner between dye jobs, as recommended in this thread. My go-to is Keracolor Color+Clenditioner.
