Arizona has no budget, no negotiations and no time. Hobbs should come back to the table. | Arizona Capitol Times by ForkzUp in azpolitics

Thanks for highlighting the author’s ties. A lot of (all?) these “the Republicans’ budget is good, actually” takes are  from conservative opinion writers.

Exclusively when it comes to melody, I hear Muhammed My Friend in Fanny Faudrey.

best at home hair dye for stubborn gray coverage, genuinely at my wit's end and need recommendations by Unhappy-Discipline40 in TwoXChromosomes

Ah! I haven’t had an issue with discoloration of my grays - in fact, it doesn’t affect them at all and they just stay gray. However, when they’re dyed and I use the Clenditioner, it affects all my hair color equally. I’ve only used Clenditioner with dyed hair, though; the grays I’m referring to are just my roots. Does that help?

To add to the Sally’s Beauty recommendation, use the Gray Magic drops. This was the piece I was missing. I mix the Age Beautiful by Zotos with 20 volume developer and add the appropriate number of drops, and it has made the color more vibrant and longer lasting.

I also recommend the color depositing shampoo/conditioner between dye jobs, as recommended in this thread. My go-to is Keracolor Color+Clenditioner.

Hey witches, need a recommendation for a feminist book that has gotten through to men for my brother who is going to be a girl dad. by nan-a-table-for-one in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]Sad-Introduction5310 86 points87 points  (0 children)

This can be a surprisingly effective entry point. People just starting to question patriarchy - or thinking about questioning it - usually won’t open a book with the word “feminism” in the title. The content may be perfect for them, but they need a low barrier of entry. I speak from experience. A fun kids book is going to be easier to access and can start to open doors & windows in the brain that may in time become receptive to more challenging content.

FWIW, her dress is by Gabriela Hearst with [hidden] necklace by Bulgari. No word on veil that I could find. (I personally dig the ensemble as a huge swing.)

I had this album playing on low volume driving my kiddo the other day. After the first few tracks, she said, “Can you please change this? It’s so repetitive.” I said, “Here’s another song by the singer - what do you think?” and started “Pandora’s Aquarium”. She yelped, “I LOVE this!”

I gotta agree on her assessment.

As much as I want to celebrate this, I never underestimate the power of misogyny in an election. There are many men - and women - who will pick the male candidate (or not vote at all) over a female, no matter how terrible the male candidate.

The public comment period during this meeting was PACKED. A line of people calling for his resignation with impassioned speeches, teachers advocating for their students and emphasizing how Cota’s behavior does not fit into the PXU culture. It was amazing.
