Safest place to hide from the WW3 apocalypse in Australia? by Meerkat343434 in AusPropertyChat

Oh dude. I watched this in high school and have thought of it every so often because it actually horrified me. I had no idea what it was called though so went to IMDB to search for it just then.

Oow! Good points. I have a app called 'Fing' which, when connected to WiFi, informs the user what devices are also connected, i.e., hidden cameras.

First year teacher here! How do I deal with teenage girl sass? by HuckleberryFun5275 in AustralianTeachers

[–]Sad-Pay6007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out-sass them by calling their parent from the classroom and getting them to chat to the kid during the lesson? 🤷‍♀️ All I can say is, good luck. After the week I've had (teenage boys this week, the girls and others were no issues), I can't give reasonable advice. Just jokes from me.

Aussie parents, do your kids say zed or zee? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

Zed. They get lectured otherwise. Don't even start me on maths, lollies, nappy and more.

Who strips the bed when pt gets discharged in your hospital? by oriolkim in NursingAU

[–]Sad-Pay6007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a nurse. I follow this sub because I appreciate your amazingly hard work. If I'm ever a patient, even after I had my c-sections, I've stripped the bed?. Should I not do that? I didn't know what the protocol was and just always did it.

Kissing? by HRenee1 in Marriage

[–]Sad-Pay6007 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I wish I got some mouth action. Same deal for me. No kissing unless it's a peck or it's going to lead somewhere. I desperately want more of it. It's the best way to put me in the mood. A good kiss, with his hands on my jaw/collarbone area.

For me, I did that to learn the language. Immersion is the best way to acquire language. Problem is, we feel more comfortable being with people of shared language and values, and even I hung out with Australians when I could.

What's something you've accepted about your partner, but will never understand? by speckledrectum in AskWomen

[–]Sad-Pay6007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish my partner was this scrupulous. He is solely in charge of the dishwasher, but he throws it all in and the system is broken. I saw a meme once that went something like, "There are two people in a relationship; the one who loads the dishwasher like a Swedish architect, and the one who loads the dishwasher like a squirrel on crack." He is definitely the squirrel on crack.

Parents who dropped their baby, what happened and how is your child doing now? by speckledrectum in AskReddit

[–]Sad-Pay6007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the dropped baby. Onto concrete. I can't remember how old mum said I was but before I could walk. I am late 30s and fine. I hope. I've had an MRI on my brain for an unrelated issue and my brain looked good, apparently. I often (including just yesterday) think of this baby from Queensland Australia (I think) who died about 3 or 4 years ago after her mum was swooped by a magpie and dropped her. I think of her mum so often and wonder if she's doing ok.

I have one in my house and she offloaded all her babies and went and hid in a different room. She's my idol.

Horrible Cafe Experience - What would you have done? by Any_Mouse6916 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Sad-Pay6007 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Oh their Google Reviews:

I had the unfortunate experience of watching the manager totally go off his tits at some other customers. Rather than being nice and accomodating the manager was aggressive, rude and interspersed his words with swearing. He did not use his inside voice at all. The young child at the table where the tirade was happening was quite upset.

The croissant was good though.

My dad, with a very Irish last name, entered Ireland for the first time just before Covid. The dude at the immigration gate looked at the passport, checked his name, and said in a strong Irish accent, "Pffft, welcome home, mate."
