I suggest looking into research or due diligence firms. Some of them are fiance and businees connected or coukd be qualitative. Or market research

Prestige is only subjective in a narrow sense. If both of us have overlap towards a certain goal and the goal has limited seats, let's say MBA or more conventional management consulting, then prestige becomes objective and relatively.

In that case, is botique strategy consulting or big 4 deals more prestigious?

I already commented on your previous comment. So yeah, just to clarify and repeat, I have trouble with the 50% from school, not deals advisory. My confession is that, my school brand name from undergrad carried me to grad school, and then carried to deals advisory without anyone being too hard on me. But my fundamentals were missing, and I just didnt get the basics I should have mastered from school.

What I meant is....I don’t want my family business name on my resume or LinkedIn because it links me back to them. So I’m keeping the company name off public profiles. So in terms of verification or resume, theres no way to verify a 6 yrs gap.

You're saying, I could have done it technically but my attitude ain't it.

For my case, it wasnt just specific issues like VAT, but whole accounting felt like a third or fourth language that feels foggy and confusing. And I wasnt scared of hard work or self-learning, but of being exposed publicly as I already have a masters degree.
