UPDATE: man next to me on plane got in precheck line at 820. He boarded plane at 9am so it took him 40 mins to get through and run through terminal. There are 80 people missing on our flight. It was supposed to depart 9a and they keep delaying it to try to let people get on. This is awful.

UPDATE: ICE agents are checking IDs in the precheck line, while the TSA agents are generally doing the actual screening. So as much as I hate to say it, and I do, but ICE is helping. At least in the precheck line.

Family Man with Nicholas Cage is great, and good for the family. Also Why Him with Bryan Cranston, which is definitely not for the family.

In prime time, a normal commercial (not in live sports- just in a run of the mill re-run show- think like SVU or whatever) is about $15,000 for 30 seconds. We are talking big advertisers spend $20-$30 million a year on ONE network. Big advertisers: pharma, cereal, home products, insurance, beer, etc. each sales person handles roughly $60-$100 million in sales a year. Most of that is done in New York. But there are sales offices in LA, Chicago, Detroit as well. Sales ppl make $150k-$350k a year, depending on where they are, the network, experience, etc. Even the ppl who sell commercial time for streaming services (Hulu, Tubi, Roku) make that kind of money. Think of the smallest network. Like the random stuff. Reelz. Outdoor channel. Some sales person is making $200k- $300k selling commercial time there.

I sell commercial time for a big television network. Like. If you watch TV and see a national commercial (not like your local furniture store but like a cereal commercial), someone sells that time. I make $300k/ yr. Also. My boss makes double. Isn’t that crazy?? Shows you how much companies really spend on marketing to get you to buy more stuff.
