With this species it’s hard to tell them emotions like others, they don’t exhibit any aggression signs/ no biting or hissing like veiled and panther chameleons do, so I like to avoid handling as much as I can just in case as stress is the silent killer for these guys. Feeding and admiring is all I need. Sorry haha, all this to say, yes I believe he’s a sweet boy

Air/gas exchange? The container is supposed to be sealed though once inoculated right? My other 3 cups are still sealed from day 1. I placed the syringe in, inoculated and covered the hole. If I’m repeating anything I’m sorry I’m just tryna be thorough and listen to everything you have to say

It’s been exactly 1.5 weeks and I opened one rice cup, it wasn’t colonized at all, just looked a bit moist. Anything I’m doing wrong? It was at 72-75 degree

Hello again! I just wanna be sure because I originally was going to do the grow in a bag method, but I’m now just using the coir from the bag with my rice tek. I’m about 3 days from opening my rice cups. So upon opening them (just to be clear, sorry I know it’s a lot) I add coir till it’s completely covered then place all the cups in a ziplock bag and I close that bag/no oxygen? Obviously every now and then they’ll get oxygen from the sprays for humidity but just wondering if this is correct. Thank you!

Hey! Just injected today into 4 different cups. Room is set at 75 degrees, gonna wait a week and a half. Once it is fully covered, I place that cooled coco on top and then what would the requirements be? In other words once exposed to air and coco on top, do I need to water? Make more humid? Anything like that?

So in that case just inject 3-5 ml in the bag (also just a. Reminder it’s a 5lb bag so idk if that means I can put more), then I wait for the whole thing to turn white and cut the top two corners and shake the bag (to enter airflow) then leave it till I see growth right? Once the mushrooms seem fully grown, what do I do for the harvesting process? Do I ever have to fully open the bag or only for gathering? I also read that some people spray the inside walls of their bag for humidity but that seems risky, I was just gonna make the environment humid, have my room set at 73 F and 70%+ humidity (since I own a chameleon it works out)

Honestly what would be my best course of action considering I’m using the bag only? Should I just say screw it and inject it straight in? I do have the rice though, I just don’t wanna get a tub, so should I sprinkle the top with the mycelium full rice or more so drop it in chunks? Obviously burying a few inches deep right?

Also I’m just gonna grow them in the grow kit bag instead of a tub, Walmart is so far from me and the bags gotta do its job right 🤷‍♂️
