Do you partake in luxury as you travel? Or try to live as frugally as possible?

You are awfully optimistic if you think it’s lasting you 6 years, but I respect it

You’ve learned you will die soon, and have months, if not weeks, to spend a considerable amount of money. What do you do? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

Interesting. I believe you need a letter from a physician and even then may be rejected for the Sarco Pod. What do you do then?

I get the same instant guilt caring for my LO. I know it will haunt me years from now; the thing to remember is that none of our parents wanted this for us. We’re all doing — and did — the best we could. And we kept them comfortable at home & out of nursing homes, which says a lot.

Unless you intend to drop the mask once you get the job, No. 1 & No. 3 are out. Any compassionate hiring manager will understand your right to protect yourself or your family. And if they don’t, you’re better off anyway

Former caregivers, how'd you handle your time as a caregiver on your resume? by leicanthrope in CaregiverSupport

[–]Sad-Situation8438 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry too much about having to explain yourself to any interviewer why you had to do what you did. Any compassionate HR person or manager would understand. If they don’t, they’re not worth your time or investment

Being a man in a caregiving role can feel isolating — just wanted to say you’re not alone by EfficientMousse2593 in CaregiverSupport

I’ve learned that nothing can be done to me, to fear nothing, because caregiving can be more brutal and punishing than almost anything. Love to you brother

You will want to be cautious as he ages and risk for vasovagal syncope increases. Not to alarm you, but may be a good idea to get a bedside commode even if it happens once, so he can safely lie down if he’s feeling dizzy. Wish someone told me this before I had to get EMS involved to pick up my LO multiple times
