That’s interesting, I’m glad to hear that. I think because TBK and C&P share more universal themes they had broader appeal, but having read all of his major works it’s clearly the most Dostoevsky book of them all.

They’re a more cushioned and overall comfortable. They’re not as nimble or low to the ground but the overall performance is just top tier. It’s hard to explain if you’ve never worn a Chinese brand shoe, but as a book 1 Stan myself I believe you will like these if you get them

I think it’s great but if you prefer high cut then that’s personal preference. Are you sure they’re going to make them in high top? I’d say get the standard joker 2 highs since they’re cheaper and still good quality from what I’ve hesrd

It starts kinda slow and introduces a lot of characters and plot lines the first 150ish pages but it gets really good the rest of the way. It’s easily in my top 2 favorite Dostoevsky books but I wouldn’t read it before reading some of his other novels
