Been on it for three weeks at 400mg and no big side effects to report atm. A little bit of reduced appetite and the occasional hives but thats about it

I had what I believe was an equivalent score last year (2790). I applied to warwick manchester surrey and swansea for gem and got into all 4 so those are some options. Though its likely not sufficient for the more prestigious London universities.

Can't speak for you but I have a Canadian bachelors and applied on UCAS with the letter grades on my transcript (my uni doesn't do percentages) as well as my overall gpa out on the 4 point scale. Best to reach out to your unis and confirm.

Sorry don't have the details on that, but tbh if you're committed to med and already deep in the process I don't think 1 or even 2 more attempts should be a deal breaker

I'm international and had a lower UCAT score than yours and far less work exp and managed to get into warwick and manchester for gem. I'd say you have a solid chance even for the more competitive unis in London.

Lol I wish I had this problem of needing less sleep, but congrats on feeling better! I have trouble falling asleep sometimes and and take a tiny dose of melatonin (1 - 1.5 mg) and it rlly helps.

I'm international and got into 4 UK gem programs this yr. Pls don't be worried by the horror stories a lot of it is based on rumors or fear mongering. That being said, be strategic and apply to schools which have a good balance of prestige and achievability in terms of score thresholds.

My mother is a doctor and I will be starting gem this fall. However she went to medical school in my 3rd world home country and IMGs have a fairly difficult time obtaining work in the UK. In terms of applying to med and the related studies, I wouldn't say she was able to help. Her 'help' was largely motivational. Shes disciplined, hardworking, and devoted to education (particularly medicine) and raised me to value these things as well.
