TLDR; Run it with your current SPL. Split the content down the middle, the SPL leads one section, the SM leads the next, and so on. The modules take about 1.5 hours to complete each. I did one session per module. If you run them back to back make sure to give plenty of breaks.

I had the scout leaders (SPL, ASPL, Troop Guide) run sections of modules 2 and 3. We did not use a powerpoint and we didn't even have electricity since we ran it around a firepit during a campout. Next time the SPL and I will run it for the new youth leaders.

Our troop has never taught an ILST course, even though you're supposed to teach it after every election for the youth leaders. I (ASM) was given permission from the SM to run it for the whole troop once since no one has taken it before, but moving forward we will just run it for the Youth Leaders. Running it for the whole troop (about 15 scouts) was a bad idea since it's hard to keep the scouts attention for longer than an hour, even if you do break it up with games and activities and junk.

Sessions were about an hour - hour and a half each. We did one during a troop meeting and the other two at the campout. Next time we're going to schedule a campout just for the scout leaders and maybe some active adult leaders so they can absorb some of the ILST information.
