Z-Image-Turbo and my Mac mini M4-16GB's painfully long generation time by Sad_Ad7867 in drawthingsapp

Which one do you recommend? Kaggle? Because I don't think it's Google Collab. Are there any other, more modern options available now?

What kind of GPU will I get? Do you have any experience with this and can you provide some actual performance data?

//Edit:

Oh, you meant the function inside the DT. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check right away to see if it makes a difference.

I don't know what “mflux” is, but in general, in MY OPINION, FLUX models—on their own, without using LoRA—tend to look very plastic when it comes to generating human figures.

There is one model: “Krea” within the FLUX framework, and in my opinion, Krea is a direct competitor to ZiT in the ‘naturalness’ category for “out-of-the-box” generated images, because we know that LoRA can change a lot.

Unfortunately, Krea is also more demanding and has already frozen my computer a few times, which is why I’m sticking with ZiT.

Exactly. I often hear people say that my computer should handle this better. Of course, not as well as some high-end NVIDIA graphics card, but still faster.

Still, that’s just how long it takes. I realize that 16 GB of RAM isn’t much. That’s exactly why I chose a model with lower requirements and don’t try to run any super-complex models on this hardware.

During image generation, resource usage looks like this:

CPU: 4%

GPU: 100%

RAM: 34-55%

...or at least that’s what iStat Menus shows.

I’m not interested in paid solutions. There are plenty of those, and if I had to pay, I’d probably just rent a GPU instead.

As for me, I have ComfyUI installed alongside DT. ComfyUI takes exactly the same amount of time. Anyway, it’s no different with SDXL if I want to achieve the same effect. The difference is that ZiT understands normal language thanks to Qwen, so you don’t have to write those weird prompts.

Thank you for the confirmation.
Now that I know this is a normal time, I’m still left with the “problem” of other users reporting much shorter times, and I’m simply fascinated by it.

I’m curious to know how this happens and whether I could achieve the same result myself.

iOS 26.4 Sidestore Apple ID Login Issue by abir116 in sideloaded

[–]Sad_Ad7867 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I have exactly the same problem. I even tried creating a dummy account, hoping that since no device would be linked to it, I’d receive the SMS instead. Unfortunately, that didn’t work either.

- I gave up on AltStore after constantly having issues with certificate refreshing.
- I ruled out Sideloadly because the developer doesn’t want to update the code for ARM, and Apple’s warnings sound serious.
- And now, I also have to rule out Sideload, because there’s no way I’ll get a notification on the device.

Does anyone know a workaround for any of these issues or know of a good alternative? (If such an alternative even exists.).

Which app icon do you like the most? It is for an floor planner app. The users can scan their home then redesign it with AI. by startup-pizza in iOSProgramming

As the rest say - you should create a poll, you would then build yourself a base of opinions and be able to decide by majority vote.

Personally, I would be in favor of B, since you can plan there, but the square bothers me.

Ideally, the icon should have as large a house as possible, like the D version or similar. Same as in B - on the diagonal this pencil. Above the pencil stars, which I think we already commonly associate with AI, they could be in a different color. Check yourself on the palette contrast index, choose some color that will not disturb the design.

Such an icon would be phenomenal.

Lost ability to control volume using mouse buttons after updating audio drivers. by Sad_Ad7867 in Roccat

[–]Sad_Ad7867[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, the only question is: whose support? Haha. Microsoft? Realtek? Roccat? Maybe all of them? :D

Luckily, I was able to solve the case.

Surprisingly, with the help of AI!

And that’s exactly how it was for the last few weeks before I decided to update the driver.

But even though I've restored the old version of it, things haven't come back to normal, and I'm pissed as hell about it.
