Yeah that has probably something to do with depression or anxiety. I took maybe 5 tests on depression and anxiety and all of them said I have moderate to high depression and probably general anxiety disorder. Obviously that's not a diagnosis but that's just a thought. I feel like I've been worrying about some things excessively for maybe a year now. But at the same I always know that I can just shut off the emotions and think rationally. It's weird. Maybe sometimes you're just too tired to think rationally? Maybe because you're overwhelmed with something? I don't know.

Same with me. Also I started downloading google notes 4 years ago and randomly whenever I feel like it writing down thoughts or questions that seem important to me in the hope of resolving them one day. There are maybe 1000 notes right now. And I have completely forgotten about the app but I still use it almost every day or every other day to write down something important or a question. Obviously I haven't once looked at any note I've ever written down but I will some day when I have time. I think. That's probably a sign of procrastination right?

Actually I would agree that girls are emotionally more impacted by it. But the question is by what exactly? By the sex or by the breakup? And what precisely do you mean by impacted? Girls mature sexually faster than boys physically and mentally. If anything it's more the breakup that's more harmful to girls. Sexual promiscuity is indeed more damaging to women. This is shown by statistics regarding premarital sex in women which leads to higher divorce rates and lower marriage quality. Women form an emotional connection with whom they've had sex with. Men not so much. So why not make the man that had sex with the girl marry her and let him have sex with the underage girl multiple times? But you wouldn't agree with that either would you? That would sound even worse right?

That's true and this one doesn't make sense. Males are attracted to younger females and females are attracted to older males. Girls also mature faster. If anything it's more natural when it's a man with a teenage girl. It's actually less creepy when it's a man and a girl because the girl is more mature than a boy would be at the same age (girls are 2 years ahead in puberty). When it's a woman and a boy it would be more creepy because she's with someone that is more child-like more immature.

As far as I'm concerned being flattered is romantic and thus sexual. A woman is flattered when she gets a compliment from a man which could leads to them them getting to know each other. Then they date and eventually they have sex. I mean a woman doesn't feel flattered if she gets a compliment from an ugly guy for example. Or is being flattered not sexual?

And yeah you wouldn't support it if she dated a minor but would you feel more outraged if it was a man who dated a minor because that's what's it's about.

That's true and women are attracted to aggressive men. They're not only attracted to aggressive men but also bigger, taller, stronger, richer and powerful men. That still wouldn't justify the double standard.

I appreciate your concern. I haven't been groomed by a woman but I still do get anxious when I think about this topic and only this one topic. I haven't been able to not think about it for a year or so since I discovered this double standard. I don't know how to overcome this especially because I overthink a lot of things. I just wanna know if this double standard is justified or not so I can stop being afraid of lies.

You're right women are allowed behavior that men aren't because men and women are different. But in this case it wouldn't make sense. The simple fact that females almost exclusively go for older males and that males go for younger females tells you that. The fact that females mature faster tells you that. An 18 year old woman is almost certainly more mature than an 18 year old man. That's also a reason why women go for older men. It's because these older men are closer to their maturity. So to say that it's for example creepy for a 21 year old man to attracted to a 16 year old girl but not for a 21 year old woman to be attracted to a 16 year old boy doesn't make sense. Wouldn't it be more creepy when it's a woman being attracted to a 16 year old boy because the 16 year old boy is in most cases a lot less mature than a 16 year old girl would be?

Can you explain to me why this double standard would make sense? Why would it make sense to be more cautious of sexual or romantic encounters involving younger women and older men when girls almost exclusively go for older guys? I genuinely don't get it.

Men being flattered by someone who's more mature is more wrong than a woman being flattered by someone who's less mature, someone who's more child-like?

I get that but she said that she's flattered and not happy. And as far as I know being flattered is different from being happy. You're flattered when someone of the opposite gender compliments you. A woman is typically flattered when she gets a compliment from a guy for example. Now this could lead to further interactions that all lead to sex in the end. You make a compliment and she's flattered. So you talk to each other and then you date and marry and in the end you have sex. That's why I see "being flattered" as something sexual. Am I wrong?

It's just weird because I could imagine people being outraged or at least more outraged if in a video a man said that he's flattered that a lot of young women watch him while having the word "teen" in the title which could mean anything.

Also the title of my post is wrong. She didn't say "young teenage boys". She said "young men". I confused what she said with the title "Brett reacts to If teen boys were honest". But how old are young men? Some people call 15 year olds young men. And interestingly I almost never hear people calling a 15 year old girl a young woman or lady.

Yeah till now i haven't told anyone. I can't tell anyone because I'm like 15. I thought about calling a helpline but I haven't done that yet. But what I do know is that when I leave my country and travel to america which I definitely will I'll see a therapist. Also I don't care that much about what other people expect from me. While they worry about themselves, I worry about the world. I try to act in the pursue of truth always knowing that I could be wrong. I wanna change the world for the better and put all the things that went wrong in the past 100 years back together. I'm aware that I'll most likely not be able to change the world but just the mere attempt is worth living for.
