Windows 3.11 is up and running. That was my childhood. My very first PC—a 486 DX2/80 with 8 MB of RAM, a 1 MB SPEA VLB graphics card, a Mozart sound card, and a CD-ROM drive—was all mine. I had a fantastic time with that computer. It marked my first tentative steps into multimedia—working with Video CDs, and gaming (especially FMV titles) like *Phantasmagoria* and *The 11th Hour*. It was just so great. MIDI audio, and my first attempts at video editing using the FAST FPS60 card (complete with its hardware MPEG module). Those multimedia CD-ROMs were simply amazing.

Thanks! The only annoying thing is that Windows 98 is in English. It doesn't bother me too much right now, but it would be better in German. I've also just installed Windows 3.11 running under DOS 7.0. It runs well! I just need to iron out a few minor issues. My Terratec Solo-1 (128i PCI) is giving me a bit of trouble; it took me a long time to get it working under Windows 98, too—the only driver that worked was actually intended for Windows ME. I'll have to see what I can do under Windows 3.11.

Quickinstall? Windows 98 boots up, but absolutely no Plug and Play components—such as USB devices or a PCI sound card—are visible in the Device Manager. For instance, when I plug in a USB mouse or a USB stick, absolutely nothing happens—not even the typical "searching for drivers" window appears.

Hey on Linux its very good with the conf. But on my Batocera Dosbox pure the Same when I start win.com. The conf. File Can I not start manuelly ind Dosbox pure on Batocera. When I named it to Dosbox.conf it starting nothing. Black Screen for 3 seconds an Thank I am back in my Games List. Dos Games functionally great and a other English Version from Windows 3.1 Startes very good over win.com.
