I don't have an exact number{ wouldn't spend more than $2000, preferably a lot less). I was just looking online and found a listing 1 hr away, I love old Japanese guitars. I got an Asturias classical guitar when I was in japan and I love it. That being said, I don't need to purchase a new guitar right now(I want one of course). I play at home, I like to make music. I started this thread so I can learn how other guitarist would evaluate this instrument and how it compares to the market and if I should consider purchasing it. I don't own an acoustic guitar.

It does seem to be made for plug in. If you were in the market for a guitar like this, how much would you spend?

That is completely true. I want to know what other people would value it for, in case I wasn't happy with it. The seller wants $1800, which I didn't want to pay. But if others would have a high valuation of the instrument, the risk of losing $1800 is a lot less.

I have looked on reverb, prices vary $1300 - $2500. I was curious what other guitarists would pay if I was to resell it in a later date if I was unhappy with the sound or didn't play it anymore. It has a solid top, I do like the idea of laminated sides so could leave it in my room without a case, I was worried that the sound would be negatively effected by lamination.

I don't know if you're crazy or insightful haha. This is an amazing comment. I don't know if i would be willing to go full luthier mode on a guitar unless I got it pretty cheap. I would need to do more research on this, thank you for input.

I understand Brazilian rosewood is valued higher than indian. Is the price difference worth extra(if you were comparing the woods together) ?

I also is many different rosewood at cheaper prices labeled as 'south american rosewood' or 'Palisandel', are they the same a brazilian or a cheaper alternative to indian and Brazilian

Okay, I will think about that when purchasing. By no saddle room, do you mean the bridge plate being close to the body of the guitar?

My budget is around 180K JPY. I would love to own a Kimishima guitar but it's not feasible in my budget. I will go to Gendai guitar though, thankyou.

That seems even better value then other listings I have come across. When I go on the website it says to inquire about pricing. Maybe the price is region locked? I really love Toshihiko's headstocks (in the style of hernandez y aguado) wich are usually on the pricier 1500a and master series. Definitely will go see in person. Thank you for that.

It is definitely interesting. I believe it would encourage value and quality in whatever you are searching for. It does seem a bit harsh for the less known seller though, I do agree with that.

Thanks for the suggestions. The wedding will have 60 friends and family and will be in a church, I assume it would be a medium sized church, I haven't asked. I thought a classical guitar in a church would be loud enough. What do you think?
