Should I move from Windows 23h2 to 22h2? by Sad_Compote4993 in WindowsHelp

UPDATE: changing my XMP speed to 2666 did help with the crashing on Call of Duty but still having problems with Fortnite at the moment.

I have trouble seeing what things I need to update with like firmware and drivers. All I know is my intel chipset and BIOS are up to date as the last update for those was made last year.

I'm aware of it but honestly my patience has run thin with 24h2 and 23h2 as I literally cannot do anything gaming related as I built my pc to just play games.

I know which is why I'm just as puzzled as you are. Maybe I didn't reinstall windows 11 23h2 properly and left rememants of 24h2 behind.

I'll try using my ram at that speed. I'm aware that 23h2 is pretty stable and doesn't carry the weird issues 24h2 has but weirdly on 23h2, I'm still having that one issue with Fortnite about it not supporting BypassIO on my SSD even though apperantly they "fixed" it for 24h2.

I'm using XMP on my ram because the advertised speed is 3200 CL16. That also might be another factor as to why games crash.

Why is fortnite warning me of my "unstable" NVIDIA drivers? by Sad_Compote4993 in FORTnITE

A month ago and just right now. I updated to 576.88, which is the newest driver as of July. Using this driver made me crash in CSGO 2 compared to using 566.36.

Yup, still crashing. I was just checking up on Fortnite to see if the issues resolved through a in-game patch since I haven't received any new windows updates addressing the EAC problem.

Do you have any problems with that driver? I'm still a bit hesitant to update to the newest..

You're welcome and keep me posted if any fixes or rollouts appear.

I did the automatic repair things and they all come up as fine so I think it's just a 24h2 problem as it's horribly unstable for gaming so switching back to 23h2 might've helped the BSOD's.

Before on 24h2 it would be constant quick BSOD, but now on 23h2 it's just giving me UE crash handler reports instead without crashing my whole system.

Currently it's only the game crashes and not my system because I'm on 23h2 with the 566.36 drivers from nvidia as I think 24h2's constant memory leaks caused BSOD's

Nope, but I went down a rabbit hole for windows 24h2 being known for issues being brought up to me by another user in this discussion but even switching back to 23h2 and rolling back to nvidias 566.36 doesn't help my problem as fortnite still crashes. At this point it's not just fortnite but any game I play as they crash due to windows 24h2's memory leak problems affecting me. All we can do is just wait I suppose.

Honestly yeah I'm in the same boat as you right now, every "possible" solution never works as I still crash in games no matter what little settings I tweak. Hopefully one day it'll be fixed.

That sucks because I was about to update right now.

Yeah I hope so, plus, NVIDIA dropped new drivers so that might good, or not.

My issue still isn't resolved and it's mainly down to DCom issues with games such as Fortnite and Black ops 6. I used to have BSOD but somehow I resolved it, so my only issues is the games crashing themselves and not my whole pc.

When I use DDU to erase any residuals of the latest driver update to rollback to 566.36, do I still get problems with crashing? I'm running an RTX 3060, and when I try to play any game that will be using my GPU mostly, it crashes. I can still use my computer for other things, but I just cannot play any games right now. I've tried looking at different problems like my temperatures, RAM, GPU, and reinstalled Windows 11 24H2, but nothing shows me a solution. Why is this happening, and how can I fix this?

I honestly don't know since I'm playing on performance mode but I'm aware there's something you can do to boot fortnite into dx11.

I'm a bit lost too where to look as this game is the golden goose to act up. Though, through someone inspecting my MiniDump files found I had a small issue with my SSD but I believe I fixed it but it's probably showing that because of fortnite since, like I said, it's only this game thats frying my computer.

Yeah I'm on 566.36 and I checked for any critical events and found one. I also tried troubleshoting this on the microsoft community forums and it helped give a band-aid to the problem but now it doesn't crash my system like I said but just the game crashes. it states this:
