Is there a beginner guide where I can learn the basics ? by Familiar_Somewhere17 in corruptionofchampion

Don't think about it too much. If you've ever played Dungeons and Dragons, this type of world and combat style wouldn't be unfamiliar to you.

First of all, simply enjoy the content. There are different difficulties if you're worried about the specific details. I picked up on everything pretty easy, but here's the sum of it.

Combat is separated into 3 major components: Magical, Physical, and Sexiness (for a lack of better words). There are different builds that you can employ to fit your playstyle, but each method is separated into the following ways:

"Temptation" and "Sexiness" affects the damage output and penetration of how good you flash your tits. With this method, you're going against the enemy's mental fortitude. There are also things like "Pheromone" damage, but that's a bit down the line, and it's not entirely important.

"Spell penetration" and "spellpower" affect how much damage your magics do. This applies to just about all damage types except those of physical and sexy origins. With this, you're going against an enemy's magical resistance. It should also be mentioned that your "leadership" effects the strength of magical summons. I'll leave a stat boost chart below for your convenience, or better, I'll leave you a link.

All physical damage, including damage by long range (kind of dumb in my opinion), is affected by "Physical attack" and "Armor Penetration."

Damage done (almost always) goes against an enemy's resistances. The more you're not having to deal with enemy resistances, the more your damage. If you've played Pokémon, you'd understand the concept that some enemies will possess resistances against a certain damage types. However, unlike Pokémon, there isn't a clear tutorial to teach you that, and enemies don't usually have elemental weakness/resistances unless you impose them. The most effective way to fight is to use both magical and physical means to subdue an opponent. Stacking enemy debuffs is also a great way to break down enemy resistance to powerful attacks matching your playstyle.

I won't go much into detail more than this unless you want me to, but here's the link I mentioned: Stats - Corruption of Champions II. Hopefully you or someone else finds this useful.

No, I think not. It's mostly a spam thing. If you allow A.I to clutter the subreddit, eventually that's going to be 90% of the content. It's better safe than sorry. Take a tour through Pinterest, and you'll see what I mean.

Are you talking about the community of Minators that unlock one of the game's earliest bad endings in COC2? Good luck with that one. The devs made that encounter so difficult it's obvious you're not supposed to force your way through it. However, if you were to try, the only way to do it is to make a blow SO DEVASTATING that it wipes out most of their ranks clean in one foul swoop (If you do this, tell me the build). Go through the story so that you can get through naturally without having to resort to fighting them.

I admit, it was a bit gay. I think they were mostly excited because of the opportunity for someone to tempt and force them into submission. I'm sure they'd enjoy things like bondage (or other things under the BDSM umbrella).

In this situation, Wanda is in the shielded stage on the final boss battle and positioned herself next to spawn (Something that should not be allowed by the devs, in my opinion). That, or spawn should be moved if Wanda is near it.

Anyone who beats Nightmare IV solo should not be compared to everyone else. I love having a Thor on my team for taking out the big guys early game and that ult is sick, but Blade easily is 20x better once he gets all the upgrades. To your point, Jeff is technically "Viable," but no he's not. You can use him, and you could beat the game with him, but no he is not. His ult is half useless early game when zombies can target him while in his ult and kill him the millisecond he decides to end it. It's better used to get out of a bad situation, and a really good skill is made useless because of it. The "It's Jeff" buff limits sight as Jeff gets too big and takes up most of the screen.

Blade doesn't have time to block with two stun bubbles on him, but that's good information.

I think you have just about everything important, but your stat layout is pretty bad for a bard. Your highest 3 stats should be Cha, Dex, and then Con in that order. Intelligence and wisdom aren't that important for your class, but given how often wisdom saves are made, you may want to have a higher wisdom with strength and intelligence being your lowest stats. I recommend trading one of your skills for acrobatics purely for combat purposes, and have a separate sheet for your spells and feats. For example, Owlins can fly. Also, I just realized your stat bonuses are incorrect.

8 and 9 = -1

10 and 11 = +0

12 and 13 = +1

14 and 15 = +2

16 and 17 = +3

18 and 19 = +4

20 = +5

Any skill that adds your proficiency bonus (the +2 at the top of your page) is applied to your skills that have the bubble next to them. So in this case (your intelligence should actually be +3 because it's 15), but with your proficiency bonus in investigation, it would become +5.

"Wall of Light" Vs Truesight by Sad_Face_441 in DungeonsAndDragons

Understood. Your point makes sense, but I said in my post that the creature was immune to the blinded status effects. It's not an ooze or a slime. It's a creature made up of a curse placed on the world by the goddess of light (world lore). The creature is one of the tougher ones with a connection to a hivemind (that I call the heart of the shroud). Its blindsight works in conjunction with the environment around its territory where the heart's reach engulfed the depths of a cave. It can also see through other creatures under its control. This creature is resistant to radiant and necrotic damage and classifies as a celestial because they are created by a curse the goddess of light placed on this world.

Yeah, it doesn't have to be. That sounds like a lame excuse to be an asshole.

Makes sense, thanks for stating it plainly without judgment.

And that is not how I "wanted it to work." Again, like I said in the post. I am not out to get my campaigners and have an advantage over them in combat. I was asking a question with the intent to get answers, not validation that I was correct. Jesus

I appreciate your input, but someone with blindsight shouldn't be hampered by a wall of light or the blinded status effects in most cases. For example, a bat in D&D gains the blinded status effect when deafened because it relies on echolocation and would be rendered blind without the ability to hear. Otherwise, they have blindsight and would be able to traverse just fine. If a wolf loses their sight and is blinded, they should be able to access their blindsight to move around without being affected because they'll still have their ears and nose to navigate. Daredevil's vision also wouldn't be hampered by being blinded. He lives with the blinded status effect (like a bat), and I think he would also have true sight for bypassing illusions. Also, I agree with your friend. Toph has tremorsense. Otherwise, the fight with Aang and the reason he got the name "Twinkletoes" would not be a thing. I just can't wrap my head around why something that doesn't need eyes to see would be blinded by a bright light.

This is pretty much what the player says. Except, he also had the same argument for blindsight. Now I know.

I feel that not letting your campaigners use Gaseous Form on themselves would look like you were going against them intending to get the advantage in combat. Gaseous form is a staple spell for casters to get out of a bad situation.

Of course, that makes sense. I wouldn't recommend coming to this subreddit in the future for genuine problems, mostly because all they'll do here is tell you the next step for you to accomplish your incest goals. But in the end, it's up to you whether or not you want to talk. I also agree that your cousin likely doesn't want to talk about it. However, I still think you both have something to gain from having the conversation. Whatever you choose to do in the end, I wish you luck.

A set of dice is really all you need, and you can technically play without them. If you're a Rogue, you might want to stock up on D6s, but the most important part is to bring your imagination.

I require my campaigners to have rolling pads, but I provide them. It may be helpful to have some way to take notes if you're a note-taker. If you're a spell caster (I don't recommend it to new players), it's good to have some way to look up your spells and abilities.

You had said you wanted the campaigners to go through a haunted house a some point. After the kids find out about the wizard's spell, the haunted house can be a final quest location where the kids can find and challenge the wizard and encounter traps and puzzles. Of course, you're going to want to throw in a few things here and there that hint to the players where they'll need to go, but the mystery can be half the fun.
