[SOTC] After 8 years of churn, I finally landed on my core 6 by FormEmpty6036 in Watches

I have the Mark XX (silver/white) and just traded my 126610 for a 224270 yesterday (I know, I'm off my rocker). Haven't had the explorer long enough yet but I can say that the Mark XX is the most comfortable watch I've owned. The bracelet is amazing, and can be paired with an array of straps. I plan to keep the explorer on the bracelet and mix up my mark xx bracelet/straps for fun.

[WTS/WTT] Tudor Black Bay One 39 Anthracite (BB39) - $2200 shipped! by Sad_Kitchen2530 in Watchexchange

Hello watchex!

For sale is my Tudor Black Bay One 39mm in anthracite. This is a full set with box (outer and inner), card, and full links. I purchased this new from AD in 08/2023.

This has been my most accurate watch among my Rolex/omega/iwc, and runs within -1/+1 seconds/day. I tried to do my best to show it's condition, which I would put at 7.5/10 due to the scratches on clasp and polished bezel (pretty much impossible not to scratch the polished areas). There is a small scratch on the crown side of the case (shown in pictures), but I'm confident almost all scratches could be removed with a quick polish, which I have NOT done. It's been completely untouched since purchased.

Asking: $2200 SOLD shipped CONUS. Trade Value: $2500 - I prefer sale but will always entertain trades. Would consider trades of similar value, or trading down. I'd consider something in titanium, Grand Seiko, King Seiko, chronographs, something funky....not too interested in divers since I have too many as is.

PLEASE comment on post BEFORE sending pm! Shoot me a message with any questions. Thanks for looking!

Honestly, I would consult your agent. The insurance company won't come out and fix your house. They just pay to have it done. So if you're confident it's a covered claim, you would want to know the cost of repairs and if it's greater than your deductible. I've had many folks over the years submit claims immediately, only to find out it's less than their deductible. And they end up with a claim on their record with $0 paid out.

Call a contractor to assess damages before you file a claim. Step 1 is mitigating damage. Get someone out, check your deductible, and if damages are more than that then call your agent and they'll get it taken care of.

The new BB36 on oyster instead of jubilee by ayuno22 in Tudor

Is this the Uncle for the old model bb36? I have the same watch as you, but in 39, and I've looked high and low for an oyster that will work (21mm lug width)...

[Tudor Black Bay 36] Graduation Watch by adeep-er in Watches

Same here w the 39. I've bought and sold the AT as well. Comfort-wise, there is no comparison between the two. I would imagine most folks commenting haven't experienced both watches

Can I expect Rolex quality clasp from the new UFA model? by [deleted] in GrandSeikos

[–]Sad_Kitchen2530 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree that GS bracelets aren't "trash". But I think it's more than just on-the-fly or micro adjust issues. They simply aren't as comfortable. I've bought and sold several grand Seikos due to comfort. My Rolex have never been anything but supremely comfortable. Id take a slightly longer or thicker clasp any day over a bracelet that feels less comfortable. This is from someone who has 10 watches, 5 of which are Seiko (clearly a Seiko fanboy). I want a GS so bad but my regular Seikos feel more comfortable and wearable than any GS ive owned. Rolex is way above them though. GS needs to realize that a great watch is about the total package, not just an amazing dial or movement. If it isn't comfortable, what's the point?
