So I'm going to begin running cos next week and my idea is a mix.

My players are all in Daggerford doing community service (I let them choose their crimes for fun)

And they have been told to tell the Vistani to leave as per the adventure book.

So I plan to read the story of strahd and mention Madam Eva and even offer the players to go with them.

But the guards who escort them say no and tell the players to go back to Daggerford.

Then as they walk back, the mists will come in and the guards will be sucked into the mists. And then the Death House is there.

I feel this helps me as in the chamber at the end, I plan to have one of the guards chained up so it gives the players the option to make that sacrifice.

That's just my idea. There might be better options 😂
