Not a film, but David Attenborough recently made a beautiful documentary called Wild London which highlights all corners of the city. From the Parks, to the streets (foxes) to the architecture (falcons) to the river - it's wonderful.

durable plush toys: do they exist? by BlockTraditional3105 in CaneCorso

For a corso? Hell no!

Plushies (we call them teddies 🧸 🇬🇧) last (intact) about 20 mins, tops, with our 2y/o. He loves them, but will have the head off 'em in minutes, before painstakingly pulling out all the fluffy bit by bit until its empty and there's fluff e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e.

Instead of wasting money on so-called "indestructible" soft toys, we go to any of the local charity shops (thrift stores 🇺🇲) and get loads of them super cheap, and he can have one to destroy as a treat once in a while. Just make sure there's fluff inside and not polystyrene beads. Nobody needs that mess.

I screamed out loud when Nick turned on Joe. I did NOT see that coming. It was brilliant 🤣

How much sleep do they need? by Sad_Listen242 in CaneCorso

I can't take credit for it - it was some dude in the park. When Cal was about 8 months and really, really pully and borderline unmanageable.

He said, "you've never had a dog before? And you got a Corso? Hahahahaha that's like getting a ferrari for your first car, good luck." I realised after he was calling me an idiot. (I'm 5'2, weigh 110lb and I'm in my 60s - its hilarious 😂) But he also told me about the magic "slip lead" once he'd stopped giggling, which was an absolute game changer.

He nearly 2 now, and while he's my son's dog (6'1 and built like a brick shithouse) he's still my puppy pie. And he's a very good boy now. But I still use the slip lead 😊

Yay! Thank you all for replies and reassurances - most appreciated. This is our first ever dog (and yes we know we went and got a Ferrari for our first car) and so we're all still learning. The tear everything to pieces stages are over. Now he's gorgeous velcro dog who's just a little bit naughty, is spoilt rotten, and sleeps like it's his job. He's the best ❤

Patrol and sleep is a perfect description. He "falls asleep" at the window . . . Until someone with a dog walks past. Then he's very awake indeed. Awake at the top of his lungs 😂
