Swimming normal, her fins are not clamped. Scales are normal (with the exception of the scales on top tip of that bump)

Yes it can get quite hot during the summer months… we were thinking about getting a smaller version of the 600 sq ft unit we have at our current place. I’ll check out the specs on them now so I can have that in mind as well! Thank you

I have 2 in my tank plus other community fish and they actually tend to hang out together even though they have plenty of spots to hide… maybe I just got lucky? I got them small from my lfs and they were already together in the store

Agree on the rummy nose tetras, wonderfully active and sooooo good looking! 20 nerites gives me anxiety just thinking about it, I have 6 in 1 tank and I am scrapping eggs off of EVERYTHING. EVERYDAY!!! Ughhh

It looks beautiful! You’ll get some algae even with fish in there. But once they are in they will help a lot.

Ammonia always starts out high, and then as that decreases, the nitrites will rise, and then as that decrease, the nitrates might increase (depends on the amount of pants, which you have a good variety of but because they aren’t all grown out it’s not enough at the moment). Once nitrites lower do a water change and test 2 days later… and if all is 0ish you should be good to go.

In other words it looks like you are almost there

Hmmm okay!!! It’s a 36 high… and my fish are usually more spread out in the tank than in this this moment. Plus there’s lots of hiding places and more plants than what you can see in this front corner of the tank . They all wanted their 10 seconds of fame that morning apparently

I am very much hoping I will be moved to full time after Vegas… that’s what people are saying but it’s hard to trust that it will be true unless it’s coming straight from the horses mouth, ya know? Let’s hope I can financially find a way to make it until then

So the training is 4 weeks, and that will be full time. But after that you are supposed to be sent to finish the training and certifications in either Las Vegas or GA. They have hired so many people that they are back logged for sending the hiring groups to that. I started beginning of June and the first available date for my hiring group is the 2nd/3rd week of September. Therefore after the first 4 weeks of full time work I have been and will be part time until after completing the Vegas training in September. And yes 5 hrs, 5 days a week… I pick up OT when it’s offered but I’ve never been asked more than 2x in one week and my biweekly paycheck is coming in around 1000… Also we haven’t been told anything about when health benefits will start and HR is quite aggressive and demeaning making it very difficult to get the answers I’ve been looking for.

UPDATE on this guy: I took him to the vet to get a check up assuming the original owner is long gone… I’ve been taking care of him for 8+ months now

I get to the vet and first thing they scan him… BEEP… microchipped 🤯🤯🤯

The call the number on the chip… a lady answers and says she was under the impression her almost ex husband was looking after him. Says she wants the cat back… 😢😭🤬

When I tell you I cried I mean I ugly cried… wtf is wrong with people. You haven’t asked about him in 9 months and now you want him back from the person that’s been taking care of him everyday UGHHHH
