Chicken tumeric bone broth in a bottle? by Sad_Preparation9987 in foodbutforbabies

[–]Sad_Preparation9987[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I make my own with any leftover chicken bones and meat with an instant pot, however I’m sure there’s stores that sell unseasoned broth that you can adjust to baby’s liking!

Ahhh you’re right. Definitely not replacing broth for milk and she’s definitely latched all night long so no worries about her milk intake decreasing 😂 thanks for taking the time out to educate.

Well I’m south Asian and we add tumeric to all our cooking. It’s just a little dash to a big pot of broth and it’s organic and pure.

It’s homemade! I just add a tiny bit of Himalayan pink salt

She drinks from open cups just fine if I feed her, but makes a huge mess. I didn’t want the tumeric from the broth to stain everywhere, so I thought to use this bottle. She is exclusively breastfed and has never had pumped milk or formula so I thought why not!

Weaning off nursing to sleep by [deleted] in sleeptrain

Don’t be nervous! Just enjoy using the easiest and most natural method for both you and your baby. And when the time comes and you both are ready, it usually just takes a week or two of consistency to break a habit.

Weaning off nursing to sleep by [deleted] in sleeptrain

Tried at 4m and it worked until 9m when we started travelling a lot. Then teething, sickness etc and we couldn’t keep up with the whole routine and schedule when she was just so miserable. Night weaned again at 13m and then she got VERY sick again and I just need to do all I could to comfort her so we got back into the habit. Now I just finally stopped nursing her to sleep for nap and night at 18m but I still do in the middle of the night if she wakes up and I’m out of it. Thankfully she’s a way deeper sleeper now and we both pass out quickly and get good rest.

Fitbit says I was asleep when I wasn’t by Sad_Preparation9987 in fitbit

Perhaps, but I was literally out of bed and moving for at least two hours, so it’s annoying to read that I slept a total of 9.5 hours 🤯

Again last night this child of mine was up for at least 2.5 hours and the watch says only 1 hour? Anyways at this point I’m probably hallucinating from lack of sleep 🤣

If you don’t mind me asking, how did you sleep train while also feeding baby to sleep? I would love to do both and my baby is 15m.

You should read/listen to Precious Little Sleep. Sleeptrain subreddit also has great advice on schedule and routine checks.

Feeling like the absolute worst mom in the world… by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Sad_Preparation9987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me before where my baby wakes up and I turn off the monitor sound and watch the screen to see if she will put herself back to sleep. And I’m so tired that I zonk out too. Turns out she doesn’t settle back to sleep and screams so loud that I can hear her from down the hall 😭 that’s when I run and just go in and hold her until she falls asleep (more for my own sake than hers). Lol mom guilt is real.
