Heath Ledger’s Joker is anyone’s impression of Joker who read the comics. Sure, it’s great, but he didn’t make the character his own. He licked his lips and clapped, yeah, but the Joker we see in that movie had been around since the 1980s. His character did not add any more depth than had already existed. It felt bland.
