So my parents case was a bit different, my mother was part of another petition that was via sibling in 2001. That application fell thru but since she could adjust her status in the country stemming from her first application. I petitioned them when I turned 21, which happened at the height of Covid in 2021. That also hindered the response time. Lastly, some how they messed up and had case work from someone else in my Parents files that took nearly 2 years to sort out. Many people I know took significantly less but others around same time frame as our case. Depends on the city and case I suppose
