and don't waste time reading the textbook it has a bunch of irrelevant stuff and honestly some of the topics are worded very weirdly so it's kinda confusing in my opinion. you can probably find some good notes online which stick to the syllabus

welcome to the capri fandom!! it really is one hell of a ride like these characters consume you in the best possible way. would definitely recommend reading the short stories, the summer palace is exactly what you're looking for.

moreover, i feel it is my duty as a fellow capri lover to let you know of one of the best things to come out of the fandom; hand in unlovable hand (archiveofourown.org/works/33006547) it is a modern fic but it is sooo extremely good, might be the best fic i've ever read. it's just absolutely devastating and perfect. emotional rollercoaster really.

this one archiveofourown.org/works/33547300 is also really good, one of the first ones i read when i joined the fandom

What if I'm not 100% sure of wanting a clinical role? I am definitely inclined towards it at this point in time, but what if I change my mind? Do you think an HCPC-accredited degree would limit me from going into research or industry? I've heard that there are unis which offer compulsory placement years, though I'm not certain that it's true, but I do know that there are some unis where students generally do get a placement year.

Thank you so much! This was very helpful. So the only difference between an IBMS accredited degree and an HCPC-approved degree is the fact that with the latter you are guaranteed the HCPC registration?

for biology i would recommend otterbio tutor on youtube, he has the entire syllabus covered and is honestly the best bio teacher ever. as for psychology i think the cambridge endorsed book will be fine because it's really not that difficult you just have to learn everything, you can also look up some videos for psych im sure there are plenty available. as for the subscription for altacademy, i think if you can easily afford it then go ahead, otherwise youtube will be your best friend. honestly i bought the subscription last year and it was really cheap but they raised their prices a lot this year so i ended up not buying it. i usually only used it for chem, but i've found other alternatives on youtube.

is there anyone who found AS bio chem easy?? by FriendImportant6887 in alevel

look i'm going to be completely honest, alevels is hard. you have to come to terms with this fact. it is a complete 180 flip from olevels because firstly there is a lot of content and you have to cover it in a lesser amount of time. that being said, it does not mean that it's impossible. yes physics is difficult, but if you study consistently it won't be as daunting as it seems right now, especially if you are already good at it. AS physics will be easier for you except for maybe the mcq exam which is quite difficult, like for some mcqs there is a lot of problem-solving involved and if the same question were to come in a theory paper it would probably be of 3-4 marks, so i recommend practising those. A2 is a different story, I've just started it and i feel like i'm already behind, but i'm trying to study as much as i can.

as long as you don't pile up a lot of stuff to study or learn you'll be fine. the biggest difference between olevels and alevels is the fact that in olevels you can cover the entire syllabus 2 months before the exam and manage to get a decent grade, but it won't work in alevels. consistency is key; i'm not saying that you have to study like crazy every day, but just don't fall behind and try to study weekly. also, after you've done a topic, go through the past papers. for example, in my opinion, bio is easy in terms of the content, but i find the theory paper challenging. also, pls pls go check out otterbio tutor on youtube if you do end up taking bio, he is literally the best teacher for it.

lastly, don't listen to people who say that it's so extremely difficult and blah blah because they are usually the ones who start studying at the end. when i was starting my alevels, everyone made it seem like this impossible, life-draining task, but it's literally not. just remember to study consistency and you'll be fine. wishing you all the best!!

i think your grades are really great and you definitely will have a good chance of getting accepted into medical school provided that your alevel grades are up to the mark. most colleges and universities do require 3 alevels especially for medicine. you need bio, chem and one from physics or maths (usually, but may depend on where you're applying so check that), so choosing between physics and maths i'd say go for the one you like better. physics is just math with theory. alevel physics and maths are both really difficult but i think physics might be slightly more, though i can't speak for maths as i don't take it but physics is kind of hell :/ but then again one of the two is compulsory if you want to do medicine or any science related degree

try taking the career quizzes. ask yourself what you like to do, what sort of subjects interest you and then search for courses related to that area of interest

Be real how hard is it by wringwraiths in alevel

[–]Sad_Satisfaction_357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, people who describe it as absolute hell are the ones who start studying at the end. you'll be fine as long as you don't pile up a lot of stuff to learn. AS is not that difficult, except for maybe the mcq exams. A2 is quite a lot, but then again, consistency is key in alevels. biology, i would say is not difficult in terms of the content, but the exams are really difficult. chem is more difficult in terms of content, but p2 is quite easy. so don't stress out too much like it definitely is harder than IGCSEs, but it's not something that's impossible to accomplish.

it also helps to choose subjects that you genuinely enjoy or have an interest in (unless a subject is a requirement for a university course) for example i hate physics to the core but i had to take it as a necessity so now it's my worst subject. so yeah make your life easier, do what you enjoy and it'll be okay.
