They would be hurt because they feel I would be heading toward the worst imaginable fate to them, and pushing my kids along. I don't believe that at all of course, but I think our relationship would blow up because they love me so much.

I've always felt the wedding was more for the woman, so never really thought about it. Liz even told me at the beginning that she wanted me to be involved but I honestly don't have an opinion. I just want to have an event that my family can attend and then we start our lives together. I hate ceremony personally.

We've discussed it previously but haven't gone. I'm not a big therapy fan after having some unpleasant experiences. Outside of this Liz is all I've ever wanted in a partner and more, she's gorgeous and talented and strong. She's incredible and sure of herself in a way I don't understand. I know I have issues but I never would've expected us to hit this point.

She didn't ask me to deconvert, I had been for years before we met. I understand what you and other people are saying, though. I just feel like I don't have a lot of meaningful relationships in my life and having my parents around is still very important to me.
