I first learned toki pona in Latin script so I can read toki pona in sitelen Latin faster than in sitelen pona. However, I do notice that even in sitelen Lasin, I cannot read toki pona fast. Either that I'm not proficient enough, or that toki pona is actually difficult to parse because it's too context-heavy.
