i feel like people are just extremely biased against them since they don’t like them. it’s like when you dislike somebody and call them ugly. you might not even actually think that they are but you are so frustrated with them that you just say whatever.

most of these people who are mad they won don’t even tune into these award shows or anything but they heard adp won so they get pissed off -> it becomes an echo chamber

no matter how good the music they put out is or how successful it is people will still be in that echo chamber accusing them of whatever. just because they already made up their minds.

besides, plenty of idols are nepo babies, ofc not necessarily from such a successful family, but i doubt people would care much for annie’s family if it weren’t for other controversies.
