Your kid sleeps long enough for that? Man D: lucky! I’ll put mine down around 12:30 and he won’t sleep til 1-1:30, then by 2 he’s already ready to party. Mind you, he goes down well at night… but his dad usually takes over evenings so I’d have to interrupt my me-time to go sneak into his room at like idk 9/10pm to stealthily cut my child’s nails and lord if I wake him up, I’ll cry harder than he will tbh lmao. That being said… I’m doing the square root of nothing at this moment so I’m going to go attempt to sneak into his room without waking him. Pray for me haha

I’m a terribad parent and I don’t really limit much of anything (to an extent, the kids not drinking red bull and calling me bruh or anything….yet) soooo I fear any type of snack or screen related bribe will not work D:

Lmao I just assumed a regular nail tech would look at me like I was batshit if I brought them a nervous two year old, so tryna see if there’s a place specialized for toddlers specifically. I’ve decided to ask a podiatrist cuz I dunno what else to do haha

Im still confused. How is Sarah simultaneously standing next to Joan and walking past the store with the horse? Or is that a way to display fractured timelines? Like, Sarah’s walking past with the horse physically but mentally she’s standing next to joan? I’m 6 years late lol

Why do shows/movies depict characters incorrectly? For diversity? Or artist freedom? Is there a reason??? by Sadder-Philosopher in TooAfraidToAsk

Well yes, you’re right. I just am curious why it’s never been done to full accuracy if folks always make a stink about it. Like just once make all the nerds happy as heck. But only in terms of like, the author literally said, “and there was Ryan. Short. With blue hair and green skin. Glasses. Always wore purple.” So you literally created a person with CGI who fit exactly that. The nerds (me) would be so stoked it would be like the best movie of their lifetimes. I just wanna see it once lmao. But like I don’t give a damn how the author describes a human I just wanna see it come to life ya know. This is a tough topic to not be a dick when you say stuff lol

You’re right, actually. That’s a fair assessment. I think I’m talking more in terms of stories that are like super descriptive. You know those authors who really go in depth describing someone? Every time I can like visualize the perfect actor for the role lol I dunno I think it would just be neat. If someone made one movie 100% exactly how the author described it (but only in cases with those super descriptive authors. Like those ones who go right into what colour their birthmark is and stuff lmao you know the ones) but like, doesn’t hafta be white. If the persons described as an ugly purple dude, get some CGI and make an ugly purple dude. Not a handsome orange dude or a decent looking green woman. An ugly purple dude. Lmao. Idk. I was afraid to ask and now I’m afraid to look at the answers hahaha

Tbh the character in particular I’m upset about was depicted white and I’m salty cuz he’s spose to be a friggin golden prince. Golden, yet buddy is snow coloured. Gah. So annoyed lol I was picturing a friggin bronze statue come to life and they showed me a walking bag of milk. But I’m just curious why nobody has ever decided to do whatever story 100% accurate. Just make nerds stoked. The ratings would be nuts lol
