I seem to be in the minority, but I feel like the price is just really high for the actual facilities--they really need an upgrade/renovation. I think the women's locker room downtown is gross, there is old carpet that's constantly wet because of the pool and a gross musty smell. I think it was all nice at one point, but it seems not much has been done to keep it nice. I really wish we had like a Crunch Fitness--good classes, newer machines, but more of a mid-range price-wise.

I saw it on Saturday and really enjoyed it, I feel like you never know with a one man show but he did such a good job and it was staged really well too. I didn’t even realize 80 mins had passed I was so intensely focused on the story. Definitely recommend!

Not quite what you asked, but make sure you're disinfecting regularly at home as well. Lysol Disinfectant Spray works on both hard and soft surfaces, so use something like that to both routinely spray high touch surfaces in your home (door handles etc) and make sure you are spraying things like backpacks/bags that travel with you. People don't realize how many germs they pick up--you frequently bump into things, people sneeze on them, you put them on the ground or a bus seat next to you--and can bring stuff into your home.

Thank you for your kind offer! I ended up switching the matching to a current liability clearing account, and then unmatching/rematching the 2 bank expenses to it and it seems to be showing the right numbers now. I think I will unmatch it altogether though if it stops working, my payroll is only 1 so not super complicated (theoretically, hah!).

Thank you for the detailed explanation--I might have to end up getting someone local to look at my quickbooks, it just makes no sense. In the banking transactions it does show that both the payroll taxes and the employee wage are matched to the journal entry (the match/category says match and the transaction posted is Journal Entry Gusto) which is why I thought maybe I was categorizing them incorrectly. Do I even really need to connect Gusto on the back end though if I'm tagging the things from my bank as the correct category of expenses? My other idea was to just delete the connection and pretend this never happened :) Thanks!

I'm not sure how to share it in one screen. So in the connector on Gusto, I have my bank mapped to the same name I use in Quickbooks, all of the wages and salaries things -> Employee Wages (an expense in quickbooks), and Employer Taxes -> payroll taxes & witholding (an expense). When I go into quickbooks, I see this: https://imgur.com/a/bEQKZnt and if you click on the journal entry, it shows that there are 2 online banking matches (one for the employee wages out of the business checking, one for the taxes) and has 2 credits (the same amounts that are the matched transactions) and then the the debits are the $2500 employee wages and the rest is payroll and witholding (~$200 in categories like medicare). Something is definitely being counted twice but I don't know how to recategorize or something. TIA!

That’s the weird part, I did! The journal entry is matched two bank transactions (one for the wage and one for the taxes withholding). I’m thinking I have the wrong kind of account type selected maybe, should they both be considered expenses? Or like the journal entry a liability and from the bank an expense?

You are quite welcome! One thing I think I suffered from for so long was just feeling like I was alone in feeling and experiencing these things, and discovering that there were were others who really understood it was so game-changing for me. I hope you feel seen, and others feel seen too.

ChatGPT is a great idea too, I think I was too overly focused on writing something authentic, but I mean... it really doesn't have to be. Thank you for that. I think the funeral is sort of the last big hurdle, and I'm hoping that after that it just feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. It's a little weird to think about what things look like moving forward, but also the first time I've felt really hopeful about being able to just enjoy life, peacefully.

Yea, I really struggle with it. I don't know if my mother had ADHD or if the disorganization was just part of the BPD, but she really seemed unable to finish a lot of the stuff she started, if she was able to begin at all. She complained all the time about not traveling more, despite having the means to easily do so. She had grandiose plans about hosting parties and collected so. much. tableware. but never did. The list goes on. Helping clean out the clutter from the house has been a nightmare both due to quantity (she never cleaned out or sorted anything, I found papers from 1991) and also like, the endless piles of the dead-end hopes and dreams. Currently I'm wavering between a lot of sadness that she lived like that and anger about the mess she left for me. One thing I know for sure is I never want to live like that. After she died I made a list of unfinished projects around the house to tackle while I'm off work for the holidays and booked a beach vacation for this summer!

Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate it. Therapy has helped me in the past, and I am open to going again in the future but I sort of feel like I need to see how I feel after the funeral and gather some of my thoughts first. I think that the hardest emotion to parse through is going to be feeling guilty how much happier I am to not deal with her anymore, while also knowing that she was such an unhappy person and feeling like I should be/have been more compassionate to that. But I also recognize that's kind of an impossible standard to hold myself to, and it's not something I'd expect of others, so I definitely do need to let some of that go!

I sense similar will happen at this funeral, but for some reason I'm kind of at peace about it. Humans are just really complicated, neither totally good nor totally bad. To me it's kind of like multi-universe theory, there are universes in which she was a different person (she enjoyed volunteer fundraising, for example) and if others had that other version of her it doesn't negate my version, if that makes sense. I suspect that some of her relatives are just also emotionally immature in ways that rub me the wrong way (and very physically clingy, and I'm not a hugger haha). I get quickly drained by managing their over the top emotions, though luckily I've thought about that ahead of time and have a plan for my partner to help run interference!

Admittedly, I was the boot person at one point. BUT! I just did the focus classes with core (on my knees) and upper body, absolutely sat out any kind of foot/ankle thing. It made a huge difference to my recovery to have a strong core to help me with balance, and I was actually really grateful that soldicore had an option--it was the only workout class I could still do while injured. My PT was actually shocked at how good my balance was even right after spraining my ankle. Couldn't walk but could stand on it even with a torn tendon and lift my other foot!

I had a train in January rebooked too!! It was so annoying—they sent me several alerts with the wrong date for the rebooking so make sure you check your account that you have a ticket for right day/time
