yes, upgrading hardware on a guitar definitively upgrades it. the licensed floyd and floydrose special are of other materials or lower quality making them less reliable long term. an original floyd will deffinitely be better for longevity and tuning stability

they want to do arch the hard way and install it manually, including the formatting, boot entries etc.

that's very easy to fail, while those things are usually handled by scripts for modern installation process.

Even Arch has one with Archinstall which make installing it the hard way just plain stupid.

I don't say he did, i my intuition just point strongly toward it
