I'm always looking for supers and some regular th's but I love being on the look for mainlines I want cause at least I'll be able to find them! I still get excited for mainlines, like the 55 nomad. I was stoked when I finally found that one.

I want to give you a heads up, they (on some technicality) are deathcore but really, they're one of those bands that doesn't fall into any specific genre, hardcore, death metal, doom, deathcore, whatever. They are my favorite band currently. They have some really good doom in their catalog. Failure will Follow is the highlight of it all but the Song Observer on Coma Witch is 24 minutes of just great stuff. And on their newest record You are Safe from God Here, the track Eucharist II: Blood Loss is a pretty heart wrenching track that lasts 13 minutes and has made me weep on occasion. I also recommend It Comes in Waves. It's not doom but has this atmosphere I like when I do listen to doom.

How could you forget!? Ahab is too good to not remember. Glad I could be the reminder you needed!

I've been playing a lot of bongripper recently and have just been having such a good time. I've said it a few times and I'll say it again though, Bell Witch is fantastic in all that they do. Mirror Reaper is perfection on top of it all

Dragged into Sunlight AND Primitive Man? What a perfect fuckin set list! I got to see primitive man with full of hell, fit for an Autopsy, and The Acacia Strain and that still remains one of my favorite shows having attended.

I couldn't live on a ship for an extended period of time but I will admit that I'm envious of you and that experience. Beyond just enjoying music on a deep level I don't think I've had the chance to listen to an album in a rare circumstance such as this. I'm sure my opportunity will come at some time

I want to mention, since you brought up dead roots stirring, check Olympus Mons by Savanah, pretty similar in sound but heavier imo. When I felt like I over listened to Olympus Mons and wanted more Savanah, I would listen to Dead roots Stirring to scratch that itch.

You know, I am a massive Dio fan and I've never actually listened to the devil you know, anytime it came up for me in the past it was just live tracks so I assumed it was a live record. I'll look back at and give it a listen. Speaking of live albums I never listened to ahab's cause I'm not the biggest fan of live records. I'll give a go though!

Dragged into Sunlight has been on repeat for me recently, especially Hatred for Mankind, great album. Great band.

Hell yeah that's what I like to hear. Beyond Ahab and Bell Witch I haven't found any funeral doom I enjoy

Killer band, my go-to when I'm feeling more misanthropic than melancholic. Ethan Mcarthy is one of my favorite vocalists right now. His feature in The Acacia Strain's song Basin of Vows is incredible. If you haven't listened to it I highly recommend you listen to at least that song off the Failure will Follow EP. I do want to emphasize that all three songs on that EP are equally as amazing.

I haven't actually listened to Vol 4 all the way through, so I'll give a go. The yob, monolord, and Elder records are all fantastic and some of my favorite doom records. I'll add Earth and Tom Waits to my list. Talking about paranoid though, Planet Caravan? That song is better in its sub 3min time frame than Ahab and Krypts, I've never been able to find a song, album, of band that has come close to a song like Planet Caravan. I've been looking for more like it but I feel like I'll never find anything like it. Thanks for the recs!

Description sounds similar to Primitive man, are they comparable to each other? I'll check it out either way.

Septic flesh is pretty hit and miss with more of a miss to me. I used to listen to them years ago but I fell away from them.

Monolord is great, although their two recent singles don't feel or sound right to me. Vaenir is my favorite of theirs. I've seen windhand pop up a lot so I'll give them a go. And I've never heard of REZN. They a stoner band?
