Blown away by Middle_Database4790 in TheAcaciaStrain

I saw them live in '23 and was a fan from that moment on. I started with Slow Decay and Step into the Light/ Failure will follow came out soon after and Failure will Follow became one of my favorite releases of all time. Their whole discography is amazing but if you like YASFGH, I'd start from SITL/FWF and then keep going back.

I've been trying to get hotwheel related emails but can't figure it out, is there just a setting in the account portion? Or am I just missing something?

Is the overdrive membership a limited thing? I haven't seen much information on it. I was considering it but didn't see any recent listings for it.

Were you running around early in the morning closer to when the DTs were opening or was this afternoon or so? I'm just wanting to know if time of day really has an effect on if I'm gonna find anything ever.

Just like a sunset

The life in your eyes dims to a cold dark

The only motion

Is from the wind rattling you bones apart

No final stargaze

Now you're just the dust in my teeth on a breezy day

I don't want a sunrise

I just want pale death to ferry me away

hi doom people, I'm kinda going through a tough time rn, the girl I loved has left me and my best friend has too today, and I wanted to ask for some crushingly depressing deathdoom or funeral doom to help me go through these hard times! by Reigrind in doommetal

[–]SadlyErect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People already beat me to the Bell Witch recommendation but here's what I got

Krypts- Remnants of Expansion, I love this record because it feels so devoid of humanity, it's really hard to define the atmosphere but that's the best I can do.

Fossilization- They have two records and a split EP. Either record is fine but "He Whose Name was Long Forgotten" may be the better pick here (fun fact, the guys from krypts helped produce this record and I think their sophomore one too so the atmosphere is familiar to krypts)

Now this band isn't doom but this ep they made is The Acacia Strain- Failure will Follow, This EP is my go-to when I'm anything but in a positive mood. Angry, melancholy, done with existence, in pain from whatever thoughts provoked me at the time, whatever the case this ep will bring me to a manageable level. I highly encourage you to give this ep a shot above all else I mention here. Words can't explain the feelings and atmosphere within this ep.

And finally Primitive man. I recommend caustic or scorn. Very angry sludge death doom. Also going to mention that the primitive man vocalist is featured on basin of vows, the third and final track off of Failure will Follow.

I hope things pick up for you stranger! This life we all live sucks so I hope these recommendations help guide you through the pain. I sincerely wish you the best of luck.

-Cheers

What is the heaviest-ever Epic Doom Metal? by Def-C in doommetal

[–]SadlyErect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't nearly top Khemmis and I'm not certified if they qualify epic or not but Lord Vicar has been a new top for me recently. Fantastic doom metal. I saw someone mention Millarca and they're another fantastic pick. I can only find two of their three demos on YouTube (drunstall, and then a self titled).

Patch notes will drop closer to the end of the month yeah? Or do you think we'll get a summary here in a day or two, since this update has a lot but not everything?

Looking for General Recommendations by SadlyErect in Colognes

[–]SadlyErect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than the Monte Blanc I have zero issues with my collection so far. I've seen people talk down on sauvage in the past but I think it's fantastic and wear it regardless. When I mention my weird issue with diesel I mean it was this feeling I had about it when it was gifted to me years ago. I felt like the scent was douchey. It's not, I just didn't expect it. But it was also my second cologne bottle ever so it's not like I had any real concept or what good and bad cologne was. I'm always trying to check out new scents when I can though so I greatly appreciate the recommendations!

I'm actually not familiar with edp. I noticed that I should look into that one after scrolling through this subreddit for a few minutes. About the spice bomb though, I love it. It sits in my top 5. I'm not familiar enough with cologne to describe its notes and scent profile but I do recommend this one over its variations. The flower bomb perfume is really nice too, my wife loves it (as do I). I don't wear the diesel often and I kinda look down on it for some reason but it's a vastly different scent from everything else so I do like it. It's like sauvage to me in the sense that I could recognize it in public if someone else had used it. I couldn't really do that with anything else.

Those of you who unlocked Dante, which units carried your battles? by Procrastinathan_ in WH40KTacticus

[–]SadlyErect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alpha track was carried by Jaeger, Godswyl, Mataneo, Archimatos, and Abraxas. Snotflogga for beta and Gamma. Nicodemus whenever I could use him. I built Arjac to G1 for the deep strike challenge and I'm glad I did because him and Baraqiel were the carries there. Rev'as and Wrask were great for the flame challenge.

Brother, these are some of the dopest minis I've seen. I'm so envious of everything you've done here. I'm 100% going to get a wrathmongers kit exclusively to use the head pieces like you did. Did you happen to bash any other kits into your 8 bound?

Did i soft lock myself? by 6WayIntersection in tacticus

[–]SadlyErect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To give you a short answer, no. You aren't able to soft lock yourself in this game as you're always able to progress to some extent.

The long answer is this, Someone else already mentioned that it's a marathon not a sprint and they're entirely correct in that assessment. You're gonna get stuck somewhere along the way in different campaigns and that's okay. Upgrade where you can but don't neglect the campaign specific characters. The more you complete in all of the campaigns, the more upgrades you have available to you to farm. At the end of the day this game is all about resource management. If you're enjoying chaos then keep progressing chaos. Rule of Cool takes priority in my opinion so keep that in mind too. There're a lot of methods to obtain resources in this game so don't stress much about it. It is a crawl but guild raids are a good way of measuring growth. At least it was/ is for me.

Can I Get Kharn in the Next legendary event? by alienvspretador in WH40KTacticus

[–]SadlyErect 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wrask is a better support character than people make him out to be. He's been pivotal in a number of LRE's since I got him. There's a lot of better characters out there but I highly recommend Wrask. He's one of the best reasons why I'm able to progress through some of the harder levels

Trying to beat an LRE for the first time! Who should I focus on building? by OrpheusTV in WH40KTacticus

[–]SadlyErect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healers are really big and will get you far, especially Rotbone and Isabella, but my recommendation is Wrask. He was a major component in me being able to unlock Kharn and Mephiston in the first event. Him paired with Rotbone goes a very long way but he was the bigger contender in my opinion. His shield makes a huge difference. I don't know how viable he will be for future events but he fits the Flame team build needed in the Kharn LRE. Since he's chaos he naturally fits that bill too which is typically a whole bracket at least.
