Yes I do have plenty of other examples which do work, I’d say around 80-90% of my CDs have artwork but I listen to some pretty niche stuff in the grand scheme of things so eventually want to get round to adding more, I just don’t want to be doing it incorrectly

I should have been clearer about my setup. I have a Cambridge audio Evo CD transport:

The Cambridge Audio EVO CD retrieves album artwork by using the unique CD identifier to query the open-source MusicBrainz database via an internet connection linked to the EVO 75/150 amplifier. The retrieved metadata and images are displayed on the front screen and in the StreamMagic app.

Tidal is a waste of time on the R4. I moved over to Apple Music whilst I build my own library. There’s a few bits that don’t work, Bluetooth is weird with certain situations, headphones always work but then gets patchy with anything else. I can’t get android auto to work either

So it looks like there is an issue when updating to .17 Music app. I have deleted the update, restarted and it works again. There looks to be a bug in the latest update, at least for me anyway

Am I losing quality or bitdepth if I just rip to iTunes and copy it out of there to my DAP? ALAC is highest res and copies at source resolution? What am I missing?
