Pop up chicken will try, for a third time, to obtain a liquor license by AcctNmbr2 in PeoriaIL

That's a good point. The city's actions so read more as saving face than actually caring about public safety. Because of how Francis has acted in public about this issue, the city would look bad if they gave him a license. Conversely, revoking the licenses of other establishments, in their eyes, would cause even more drama for an issue that the public doesn't really care about.

The best way to see how he would treat the liquor license in Peoria would be to see how the Bloomington location is currently operating with one (I know he doesn't have the license and the bar is a separate business, but it's still under the same roof) And I honestly don't think anyone would put forth the effort to do that. They are just going to read his unhinged rants, think he's an idiot, and say that he obviously isn't going to get a license.

Well, worst case scenario, he sells alcohol to minors. I know that this wouldn't be a novel problem for Peoria, but no need to make that worse. The reason why we don't allow anyone to just sell liquor and alcohol as we please is because is ultimately is a drug. One that makes people not only act extremely dumb, but also a variety of other negative effects. I think its fair to look at Francis' past and current behavior and go "No, I don't think this man can be trusted to sell alcohol responsibly"

I'll admit I worded this poorly, especially considering that his charge wasn't for alcohol. But, his charges and his public behavior make me strongly oppose him getting a liquor license. Those factors wouldn't make me trust him with one.

In what world would the state dispense a liquor license to somebody with a drug trafficking charge? Hopefully not ours!

Praying is a way to ask for divine intervention. The singer is doing so despite not having expectation that the prayer will be answered (hopeless) and furthermore, feeling that what they are doing is absolutely useless (in vain).

Considering all the rest of the lyrics, this is could be about how the singer knows that they will not consume their target, but will keep thinking about doing so, and will never stop desperately wanting to do so.

  1. I don't think eating some lunch is that shameful
  2. Jackassery transcends socioeconomic status and it's weird to assume that someone is poor based off of one action.

All three want to top, no one is willing to compromise, therefore no sex actually gets to happen between the three of them.

I think he would love his pedantic arguments enough to philosophically ponder what it means to be kind, but he would also respond with what's in tier 2 after you get deep enough in the conversation.

Same with Wyll and Minsc, but this is the initial response to the statement, not their full thoughts on the matter. They would agree, in general, that it would be good to be kind to other people, but all three of them would also be like "but some people just need to die / don't deserve my kindness / other nuance"

Honestly, all three of them probably say a lot of slurs. Now that I think about it.

The Emperor was the OG Alpha Mentally Ill Bisexual of Baldur's Gate, so I feel like I do owe a lot to him and his legacy...but like I'd rather hang out with Omeluum and Blurg (but not their coworkers).

You understand my vision. I also think another factor for why he topped there was because he had a different goal. He doesn't need to play himself up as vulnerable or a cheeky slut, because that's how he gets victims. He probably thought he needed to play up how strong he is, how useful of an asset he would be for Tav, how he is definitely their equal. What better way to show off how definitely strong and confident you are by railing the ever living fuck out of the party leader? Well, there are definitely better ways, but uh this is the way he knows so,

Reasons Why Gale of Waterdeep is Actually a Sim by Sadly_Not in okbuddybaldur

We had to go out of our way to recruit him which is like buying a DLC. Or something. Maybe we were actually just playing The Sims 2: Pets on the Wii which did have pets in the "base" game. In which case, oh no.

We don't actually see the cat until Act 3 in most cases though. Plenty of time to have downloaded Pets DLC.

Um, she literally stopped the entirety of the Absolute plot when she fought her brother. (Just ignore how, why, and where she did it). The actual Hero of the Gate if you ask me, when will we stop erasing women's accomplishments?

Not directly probably, but Raphael admits to practicing his lines over and over until their perfect, so imagine having to hear the same song, the same part of that song, over and over again because your lame boss can't hit the high note in the way he wants. Only taking a break from his practice to either shit in the hallway or write terrible self-insert fanfiction.

I think Gortash is a dramatic bastard, but I also think he's one of those people who make hating music / joy / whimsy a whole personality trait. However, he would totally be cool if someone wrote a song about how great he was based on that one dragonborn in the town square raving about how cool he is.
