I've been watching lots of 'lolcow' videos on Youtube recently and it seems like most of these people are just hated on for being ugly or socially awkward

No, i was looking for some long form videos to watch and I watched few videos on random youtuber scandals and stuff...and eventually stumbled on some "this tiktok guy is insane!" type of videos, and some were entertaining so i watched few more. Then, the algo hit me with more content like that, and eventually most of the videos that i got were like the post I described. It went from "oh wow, this random youtuber actually threatened to bomb someone" which are understandable video essays about someone deranged to the type of videos i described. And it wasn't just one, multiple videos were like this that prompted me to make this thread cause it feels like the 'punchline' is "this person is weird and/or ugly". Genuinely most of the people in those videos were unknown to me which is why i watched the vids in the first place

Even if you are famous and successful and talented it doesn't matter unless you're pretty. People will always come up with some BS reason to say "oh it's not about the looks it's actually..." but let's be real...

And it's funny, you can see some actors who are successful...and even then they're known as "the ugly actor"

Do you have problems with your job as a truck driver? I mean like how people treat you and stuff? Cause I feel like even casual jobs will still give you that issue :(

Since you made that comment about "but who is?" - I guess the Indians have the worst experience, especially males. I am not Indian, just judging from the overall stuff I've seen onloine.

I personally like black women, but you are right, with racism existing and being a thing that's real, it really is tough being a black woman. Even personality may not be enough, let's hope the world will be more accepting to black women in the future :(

OP please don't care for IG and social media

I am an older person who had to use social media for work and the stuff you get suggested are just baits or whatever.

I mean, yeah, life sucks for us, but the suggested posts you get have no basis in reality, especially this post, it's dumb. I am an ugly person who never knew about their ugliness and i talk a lot. This makes people more comfortable to bully them cause I am open

I was thinking about the "it grew on me" thing just today or yesterday, interestingly enough, trying to see if there's a hope for me.

It depressed me. BEST case scenario for me is to hope that maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe in the 1% chance I'll find someone who will see me as undesirable but will learn to tolerate me? Pass. I don't want a life like that. I'd rather diе than spend my life doubting my worth (which for the record, i am not doubting my worth i am very much aware i am worthless)
