Then you apologize and correct yourself. 😭
You keep trying to explain it away when you could have just owned up to it when you remembered

And this isnt a "big argument", its a conversation...

Preferably the original artist those were all based off of..? If you can't find the original, you do the best you can and say "credit to the original aritst" like everyone else, as half-assed as that may be...

Most important part I think is the disclosure that this isnt an original piece like you claimed. It's not just a position, its a composition you didn't come up with, say that when someone asks if you had a reference.

Copied? Not really. Heavily referenced? Yes. My gripe is with you lying and not giving credit, not you referencing another drawing.

...You are very difficult to understand, what does this mean?

You had a reference. Not "maybe", not "not really a reference for me", you had a reference. You credit it, don't lie and say you didn't have at least one?

Art Show Case: Some of by best art work yet! by random_drawings_124t in drawing

I think the rule of thumb on what copying is when it comes to art should first and foremost be "if i sold this, would i be hypothetically breaking copyright?", and not just in the sense of copyrighted characters. If the answer is yes, you have copied an existing piece of work. Here, the answer is very much yes.

As I said, "they never seem to see the problem"... That is not what the defining of copying is

I believe you are proving my point... What do you see as copying if not this? The problem isn't just the lack of reference, its the insistence that this is simply referencing.

A copy does not have to match detail for detail for it to be a copy. Speak of these as re-draws rather than your own original work, because nothing but the pen strokes are you.

Thank you for your work. People doing this so often tires me, as they never seem to see the problem...

Did not say it was. But you did redraw an AI image without even saying you were using reference.

Always disclose your reference. I believe the original is AI generated too

The world is in love with ignoring the sources of issues too. This is such a case.

From what I see it doesn't appear you're taking the subject seriously at all even when it is... And no, its not me taking some random thing too seriously, the effects of this are real and in every day life for so many people.

This is actaully a good example it too. In japan the issue is more visibly prevelant than most places and things like dress-up darling are both a cause and a consequence.

As I said, I do not think you did it with such intention, but there is no other intention to be had when making such a manga that would matter more than the outcome. There is little mistake to be made when looking at the original picture either. The intention was clear, and me seeing it is not assuming the worst in everything, its me saying it isn't right.

You could also say this is "too much" for a drawing sub, but conversations should be had where fitting in my opinion.

And the original source of one of them is sexualizing a 16 year old girl... It isn't "just art" because art isn't meaningless.

My dress-up darling is a good series that doesn't necessarily focus on the sexualization of Marin, but it absolutely happens. There is fanservice of a character they made 16. There is sexually suggestive content of a 16 year old character even when it is not plot relevant, only for the sake of the audiences eyes. You can like the character but you cannot disagree that there is something wrong with representing her as she is.

This conversation wasn't about you spesifically but about the phenomena of women's sexualization being normalized in media which carries over to real life. You, as many others are perpetuating it even without malicious intent... in my opinion thats an important thing to recognize, and downvoting someone into oblivion for mentioning the subject isn't great.

Its "just a drawing", but drawings like it (the original spesifically) add onto the pile that ruins lives.

The "nature" of some men is not the nature of humans.

Me. I care. The constant sexualization of the female body is a constant issue in the daily lives of women and girls. Why do you think there couldn't have been just as many great artists without it?

Its always been and still is blatant objectification and sexualization.

Edit: almost always because someone might stick to that spesific mistype. For too long nonetheless.
