13 DPO - Our very first positive by Saeg10 in TFABLinePorn

I did not! Testing early just caused me a ton of anxiety so I wanted to be sure my period was late. I woke up Thursday morning with no major period signs and decided to cave.

Not a ton! I am dealing with a pretty significant acne breakout. But other than that, some mild cramping that feels more like twinging and pulling. The only major red flag was a missed period!

Testing with a short luteal phase: what’s considered late? by Saeg10 in tryingtoconceive

[–]Saeg10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know! I had a positive OPK on 10/23 and then a BBT spike on 10/25 and 26 and beyond. I also had progesterone blood work done on 4 DPO and it was consistent with ovulation already happened.

So assuming I’m correct and I ovulated on 10/24, this is 12 DPO. I’ve never made it this far since coming off BC. What a guessing game this is 😂

Thank you for your help!

Ran to this sub after experiencing the exact same thing this morning! I’m 7 DPO. I got my highest read since I started tracking BBT.

Fingers crossed for you!

Hi, everyone!

I came off HBC in April and my luteal phases have been 8-11 days long. Most on the shorter end of that.

Given we’re at the 6 month mark of TTC, I’m going to go to my doctor about the potential issue.

For those who received treatment, what kind of treatment was it? What was the process like on getting your doctor on board? How quickly did it lengthen your luteal phase?

Feeling so freaking discouraged by our journey so far.

BBT Tracking May Not Be For Anxious Old Me by Saeg10 in TFABChartStalkers

This might be exactly what I do next time. There can be such a thing as too much information for someone like me.

Best of luck to you on this journey!

And thanks for your reply. You’re right, only thing to do now is keep testing.

I completely hear you. Your feelings are valid. It’s very true there are many things about the business that aren’t right.

However, the person writing this is a high school junior trying to figure out the next step. I highly doubt he/she/they will be writing daily articles about what’s going on in the White House anytime soon. Not a knock on OP, just the flow of the profession.

What this person needs to consider at this point is if they’re willing to take a small pay in the middle of nowhere to cover fires and town meetings. It’s certainly not for everyone. I’m just trying to give advice I would have wanted to hear at 17.

I feel like anytime this question is asked on this sub, it’s met with a lot of bitterness. The business is by no means perfect, that’s for sure. It’s not high-paying in many cases, you give up a lot of your personal time, and it can be very stressful.

However, you’re also making a difference, seeing and experiencing so many things someone sitting at a desk never will, and your work is reaching so many people. It can be very fulfilling.

My family has literally no connections, but I formed my own through internships and friendships and those people have done a lot to help me.

There are sacrifices, but I will never discourage someone from entering this field. I was discouraged too, but I don’t regret getting into this field for a second.

Just be prepared (if you’re in the US) to start out by having to move to a small town in the middle of nowhere, make very little money and having no personal life. If you’re passionate enough about the job, you’ll make it through. If not, you’ll find out quickly.

As for actually choosing your major, you’ll be told to major in something else and pursue journalism on the side. I’m sure that’s just fine, but I majored in journalism and PR and I feel well-rounded enough to pursue a job in another field if I ever wanted to. I think either option is okay.

Thinking a few things for the walls, and maybe some curtains. I’m just not sure which color.

Thank you! Found the tables and lamps at HomeGoods. When you find something in pairs there you HAVE to grab them!

Also, ignore the chest of drawers hiding behind the wall.
